A new report has revealed when talks first started between WWE and the Ultimate Warrior about a return. Paul “Triple H” Levesque first met with Warrior back in July during the WWE 2K14 press event where Warrior made an appearance promoting the game and his involvement. It was described as the “first official meeting between a WWE executive and Warrior since 1996” according to Dave Meltzer.
Vince McMahon then later met with Warrior in Los Angeles in August during the weekend of Summerslam. Both were scheduled to meet for 30 minutes and ended up spending a few hours together working everything out. That is when they started to try and work out a deal with him. The deal between Warrior and WWE was completed in December. As reported on earlier, the company will be releasing a new DVD/Blu-ray about his career that will be released on 4/1 just before Wrestlemania 30.
