WWE Friday Night Smackdown Tapings for October 23:
– Chris Jericho kicked off the show hyping up Bragging Rights. JTG interrupts him. Out next in order was Vickie Guerrero, Eric Esobar, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and Kane. Jericho and Kane rundown their partners for not being ready for this Sunday’s PPV and setup a 4 on 5 tag match. The stipulation that if a member of Team Smackdown loses, the whole team will be replaced.
– Matt Hardy, Finlay, R-Truth & The Hart Dynasty def. Eric Esobar, JTG, Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler when Hardy pinned JTG. So Hardy, Finlay, R-Truth and The Hart Dynasty replace everyone on Team Smackdown except for Jericho and Kane.
– WWE Intercontinental Champion John Morrison def. Mike Knox.
– Batista & Rey Mysterio def. Kane & WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho when Batista pinned Kane.
– Backstage, referee Scott Armstrong is trying to back out of being the referee for tonight’s main event. Vince McMahon blackmails Armstrong saying he will induct Bullet Bob Armstrong into the Hall of Fame this year if he cooperates.
– Mickie James def. Layla.
– The Undertaker def. CM Punk in a Submission match using the Hell’s Gate to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
