Clinton Bowman here, returning to the post after a few months hiatus! Let’s get right into WWE Main Event on ion Television!
Josh Mathews and The Miz welcome us to WWE Main Event, emanating from Columbia, SC! Jericho’s theme hits and the crowd goes APE!
‘The Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla’ Chris Jericho v. ‘Dashing’ Cody Rhodes
The bell rings, and the crowd is wild for Jericho. Rhodes and Jericho lock up in the middle of the ring, with Rhodes taking control of Jericho’s head. Jericho whips Rhodes to the ropes, ducks a charging Rhodes, and sends him to the outside. Jericho sizes Rhodes up and drops him with a dropkick to the outside. Y2J chases him outside and rolls Cody into the ring. As Mike Chioda tries to separate them, Rhodes takes control of Jericho with a poke to the eye. Rhodes attacks a floored Jericho, focusing on the eye. Jericho is later dropped to the outside as we go to commercial.

Cody has Jericho in a headlock in the middle of the ring, as Jericho struggles out of the hold. Cody drops Jericho on his face, and covers him for a two-count. Cody with a front suplex for a two-count. Cody tries to maintain control, however, Jericho gains a small burst of control. Cody cuts off Jericho with an elbow to the face, followed by a moonsault for a two-count. Cody with a crossface across Jericho’s eyes, loses control as Chris makes a comeback, setting up for the Walls of Jericho. Cody counters the Walls and hits the Beautiful Disaster for a two count. Jericho comes back with another flurry of offense, followed by a crossbody pin for 2. Jericho whips Cody into the corner, and Jericho jumps to avoid a charge from Rhodes, who hits him with the Alabama Slamma for two. Jericho grabs the rebound for a bulldog to Cody. Jericho goes for the lionsault, misses and Cody hits Cross Rhodes for two. Cody picks up Jericho and Chris drops Rhodes with a Codebreaker for two separate pin attempts. Jericho gets thumbed in the eye again and rolled up for two. Jericho locks in the Walls after countering Cody’s attempt at another strike to the eye, and Cody taps like Shirley Temple.
Winner: Chris Jericho via Walls of Jericho

‘Captain Charisma’ Christian v. ‘The Loose Cannon’ Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose plays Tom and Jerry with Christian, creating space for the advantage. Control shifts early between both men, as Christian goes for the Killswitch early, however, Ambrose ducks out, and gets sent out of the ring for his trouble. Christian goes for the baseball slide and Ambrose clotheslines Christian as he recovered after the miss. Ambrose takes full advantage of the momentum that he had, and dropkicks Christian for a two count. Ambrose maintains control until Christian flips over him and slaps him so hard that he called himself Jon Moxley for a minute. Christian gains control, and goes up to the top, but the match ends as Seth Rollins pushes Christian off the top.
Winner: Christian via DQ
After the match, The Shield tries to attack Christian, however, the Usos roll up on the Shield and chase them out of the ring.

The Prime Time Players v. Tons Of Funk
Tensai and Sweet T are playing with Darren Young like a ragdoll in and out of the ring. Sweet T and Titus are both tagged in, and we get a serious show of power between both men. Titus tagged in Darren for the tandem front suplex splash with the cover, only getting two. Titus and Darren tag each other again, with another wonderful tag team manuever. Titus hits a splash on Tensai, but decides to style and profile as Tensai moves out the way. Tensai tags in Brodus and Titus pays for his styling. Brodus makes the comeback, however, Darren sets up the sneak attack, and Brodus gets pinned by Titus with help from ‘Mr. No Days Off’ D-Young.
Winners: The Prime Time Players via Pinfall
