WrestleCon 2014
Don’t Miss the BIGGEST PARTY in NEW ORLEANS!
Disclaimer: WrestleCon is not affiliated with WrestleMania, WWE Axxess, or the WWE in any capacity, although we are huge fans of their product and WrestleMania weekend.
Tennessee Williams said “America has only three cities: New York, San Francisco, and New Orleans. Everywhere else is Cleveland.” Whether you relate to New Orleans through its history, its knack for throwing a great party, or because its a premiere sports and entertainment town, don’t deprive yourself from discovering New Orleans in April 2014. After several site visits to New Orleans, we have put together an affordable compliment to your Mania weekend with our WrestleCon convention and several hotel options. Join WrestleCon in one of the greatest cities in America, no offense to Cleveland, on a weekend when wrestling fans from around the world proudly unite.
We are happy to announce our WrestleCon 2014 convention location is The Sugar Mill, located at 1021 Convention Center Blvd, directly across the street from the Convention Center (AXXCESS location). This building was previously a functioning Sugar Mill that has been converted into a modern sports and entertainment complex that contains both an indoor 22,000 SF flexible space as well as a 15,000 SF outdoor courtyard. In addition to our convention location, we have negotiated group rates with three hotel partners in various parts of the New Orleans area (airport, downtown, and the trendy garden district).
Our fundamental purposes for WrestleCon are providing a location for fans to obtain guaranteed pictures/autographs with non WWE contracted wrestlers and providing a place for vendors, independent wrestlers, and independent promotions an opportunity to showcase themselves on wrestling entertainment’s greatest weekend. We are now adding wrestling related entertainment as part of WrestleCon’s purpose and will be included at no extra cost with a paid admission.
In part due to the space we selected to host the convention, live events from WWN will no longer be under the same roof as WrestleCon’s convention. At this time, WWN is not ready to make any announcements regarding their plans in New Orleans, but we do value their continued partnership. When they are ready to announce their intentions, we’ll let you know how their shows relate to WrestleCon2014.
WrestleCon 2014 will be held over three sessions. Each session will cost $25 or you can preorder all three sessions for $60 starting on July 1st. More specific details will be released over the next four weeks prior to any tickets being sold.
Our tentative entertainment includes an indy SuperShow on Saturday evening (with current commitments from PWG, CZW, and stars of ROH), an acoustic musical performance, “Marty Gras” comedy with Marty DeRosa, a live Art of Wrestling podcast with Colt Cabana, a live special edition of the Kevin Steen Show, a live special edition of OLD SCHOOL hosted by Steve Corino, a wrestling exhibition provided by Wildkat Sports and Entertainment, and our $5 Wrestling Live Hall of Fame after party.
