Lots of local media coverage for Wrestlemania 29 this Sunday has been going down this week in the New York/New Jersey area. Here are links to a few stories involving The Miz, AJ Lee, Kofi Kingston and Big Show.
The YES Network is featuring Big Show on the Yankees Batting Practice show at this link.
CBS New York is featuring an interview with The Miz where he talks about the pressure of performing on a huge card like Wrestlemania. Miz added, “This is bigger than the Super Bowl. For me, the excitement, the entertainment, the value that you get with WrestleMania is second to nothing.” To check out the full interview, click here.
NJ.com is featuring an interview with WWE Diva AJ Lee where she talks about her short Wrestlemania appearance last year in Miami. AJ added, “I was waiting over a decade for that WrestleMania moment and it was only 18 seconds. It’s like, ‘Wait — no! I just came out here!’ I wanted to stay out in front of the crowd a little longer.” For more, click here.
Chuck Carroll passed along this interview with Kofi Kingston. Thought I would pass along an interview we did with Kofi Kingston this week on 4th & Pain (@4thAndPain on Twitter). The show is hosted by Washington Redskins defensive end Adam Carriker and Chuck Carroll. Kofi told a funny story about being mistaken from Robert Griffin III all the time. He says he’s not quite as fast as the Redskins quarterback, but does boast of being the fastest man in the WWE. We also talked about there not being a ladder match at WrestleMania this year and what his favorite Mania moment is. To check out the full interview, click here.
