WWE star Rey Mysterio met with Dr. James Andrews on 3/4 regarding his ongoing knee issues fearing he tore his ACL (this was the same knee he tore the ACL keeping him out of the ring in late 2011 and most of 2012). According to a report by Dave Meltzer, testing results are not yet available and he made it public that he wouldn’t need surgery at least for right now. Mysterio is expected at this point to continue wrestling with a knee brace.
WWE officials reportedly had a discussion with Mysterio about possible retirement after he revealed his latest knee issue. Triple H suggested he visit with Dr. Andrews first before making any decisions about retirement. Mysterio has one year left on his contract with WWE.
