New York Post on Mick Foley in the Hall of Fame
The New York Post is featuring an article looking at Mick Foley being announced as the first inductee into the Class of 2013 WWE Hall of Fame this year. The article notes, “Foley’s most memorable moment came at the King of the Ring in 1998 when he wrestled The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match. During the bout Foley was tossed from the top of the cage and crashed through the Spanish announce table in one of the most-jarring moments of any match. The Associated Press covers the 20th Anniversary of Raw
The Associated Press is featuring an article looking at the upcoming 20th Anniversary of Raw this Monday night. The article looks back at the birth of the show in 1993 and features a number of quotes from John Cena, CM Punk and Paul Heyman who addressed when he knew wrestling had entered a new “era.”
John Cena: “We’re an animal of entertainment.”
CM Punk: “It’s successful because it changes with the times. It’s not just a wrestling show, it’s a complete spectacle.”
Paul Heyman: “We were editing the ECW television show. We had ‘Nitro’ on one monitor and ‘Raw,’ on the other. When I saw Steve (confront) Mike Tyson, I realized we have entered into a new era and Steve Austin is leading the way.”
