Welcome everyone to this week’s WWE Main Event report. Filling in for Clinton Bowman this week, so if you all are ready, then let’s get on with the show!
Miz & Cole are in the ring after the usual intro and hype up tonight’s match between Ryback & Alberto Del Rio. Much like RAW, the tables, ladders & chairs are set up around the ring to hype up Sunday’s TLC PPV.
We see a video package on Ryback, showcasing his year-long dominance, followed by a look at Survivor Series, when the Shield cost Ryback the WWE Title. We move to seeing the destruction caused by the Shield in recent weeks, then a look at last week’s brawl between the Shield, Ryback & Team Hell No and Ryback’s attack on WWE Champion last week to close out the video package.
Miz & Cole are then interrupted by Ricardo Rodriguez on the entrance ramp, who says Del Rio is a real competitor, unlike Ryback. Ricardo then says he took the time to make a 17 minute video package for Del Rio. Ricardo then introduces the video package for his best friend, Albertooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo……………..Delllllllllllllllllllll Riooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
We go to Del Rio’s video package, narrated by one of WWE’s usual voiceover guys. During the package, it shows off Del Rio’s cars that he drives to the ring as well as his finisher, the rolling cross armbreaker. Del Rio is filthy rich, devoted, a treasure, a talent, a stallion………….
Wait, hold everything, FEED ME MORE! hits as Ryback comes out and interrupts Del Rio’s video package. Ricardo hightails it out of the ring as Ryback enters, ready for his match with Del Rio. Del Rio is then introduced, without his music and has a microphone.
Del Rio says to Ryback, how dare you interrupt the video package, you stupid animal. I guess I will have to teach you a lesson, leading to……………….
“The Big Hungry” Ryback vs. “The Mexican Aristocrat” Alberto Del Rio
Ryback backs Del Rio into the corner, Del Rio switches and hits a kick to the leg. Del Rio with a right hand, but Ryback catches him, gorilla presses him and sends him crashing down to the mat. Del Rio rolls out to the outside to catch a breather with Ricardo fanning him off as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial as Del Rio with headbutts, Ryback shoves him off, but Del Rio continues with the headbutts. Del Rio goes for a suplex, but Ryback blocks it. Ryback then lifts up Del Rio and hits a long delayed vertical suplex. Ryback with a whip, followed by a back elbow. Ryback with a headbutt of his own, then sends Del Rio into the turnbuckle. Ryback with a hard corner whip, bouncing Del Rio off the turnbuckles. Del Rio goes to the outside again to catch a breather, but Ryback brings him back in, calls him stupid, then drives his face into the mat for a nearfall. Del Rio comes back with a kick to the gut, then stomps away at Ryback and also hits a series of kicks to the face. Del Rio with a leaping stomp, but then Ryback catches him with a Thesz press. Ryback drives Del Rio’s head multiple times into the mat, hits a slam, followed by a running splash for a nearfall. Del Rio comes back with a back club, a kick to the back of the leg, followed by a running dropkick to the back of the head. Del Rio with a double sledge off the middle rope, but Ryback comes back with a right hand. Del Rio avoids a slam, then a charge as Ryback goes shoulder first into the ringpost. Del Rio puts Ryback’s arm against the steel steps, then kicks the steps multiple times, doing damage to Ryback’s arm.
Ryback is in pain as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial as Del Rio with another double sledge off the top to Ryback, followed by a stomp for a 1 count. Del Rio with an armbar as the crowd wills on Ryback. Ryback breaks free, then hits a back suplex. Del Rio, however, then avoids another charge as Ryback goes into the corner. Del Rio with a leaping stomp for another 1 count. Del Rio continues with the stomps, but Ryback shoves him off. Del Rio chokes Ryback in the ropes, then locks him in a front chancery of sorts. Ryback pushes Del Rio off, then hits a clothesline. Ryback with another clothesline, followed by a British Bulldog style running powerslam. Ryback measures Del Rio, waiting for him to get up, but Del Rio rolls out to the apron. Ryback goes to suplex Del Rio back in, but Del Rio breaks free and hits the double knee armbreaker. Del Rio then with the running step-up enziguri in the corner, but Ryback is somehow able to kick out. Del Rio goes for the cross armbreaker, but Ryback drives him backfirst into the corner. Ryback measures Del Rio again and this time hits the Meathook clothesline.
Finish It!
Ryback lifts up Del Rio, marches around and hits Shellshocked for the victory.
Winner: “The Big Hungry” Ryback by pinfall (Shellshocked)
Ryback does the “Feed Me More” chant with the crowd after the match as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial as Matt Striker interviews Ryback. Ryback says at TLC, he & Team Hell No have to work together to beat The Shield. Striker asks is that possible when Ryback is known to fight alone. Ryback says “YES, YES, YES!”
We see a video package of the Dolph Ziggler-John Cena rivalry involving AJ Lee & Vickie Guerrero heading into their match this Sunday at TLC PPV.
The music of Three Man Band hits as they make their way to the ring. Jinder Mahal says that WWE Main Event is on 2 hours earlier this week. Slater says that is because of the 12-12-12- concert, but why didn’t 3MB get an invite to perform at it? McIntyre then brings up WWE promoting a Rolling Stones concert and Mahal brings up that Lady Gaga and Bruce Springsteen. 3MB should have been asked to perform at. Slater says that 3MB will give them a taste of their 1st demo of their 1st single. They begin to scream like idiots, until they are interrupted by International Airstrike.
Gabriel says 3MB isn’t even qualified to be janitors at Madison Square Garden. Kidd says for 3MB to stop pretending they know something about music and face us right now. McIntyre says that’s fine, but the 2 of you have to fight the three of us. Kidd accepts and the match is set, for when we come back from commercial.

3 on 2 Handicap Match: Three Man Band (Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal & Drew McIntyre) vs. International Airstrike (“The Cape Town Werewolf” Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd)
Mahal & Gabriel start off as Gabriel with right hands, but Mahal with a gut kick and a back club. Gabriel slides under Mahal’s legs and hits a leg sweep, then he & Kidd with a double team for a nearfall. Mahal backs Kidd into his corner, then tags in Slater. Slater with an elbow drop, then stomps away on Kidd. Tag to McIntyre, who sends Kidd into the corner and hits a series of right hands and stomps. McIntyre with a slam, taunts the crowd, but Kidd gets the boot up when McIntyre leaps off the ropes. Tag to Gabriel, who hits a series of kicks to McIntyre. Gabriel with a tiger flip off a whip, followed by a dropkick. Gabriel with an avalanche in the corner, followed by a Blue Thunder Bomb for a nearfall. Gabriel with a running back elbow, followed by an STO. Gabriel heads up top, but 3MB gets McIntyre out to the outside. However, Gabriel & Kidd each dives onto 3MB. McIntyre then sends Gabriel into the steel steps as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial as Mahal has Gabriel in a chinlock. Mahal with a back club, a stomp, but Gabriel avoids a slam and a charge, but Mahal stops him from making the tag. Mahal gains a nearfall, then tags in Slater. Slater with a spin kick for a nearfall. Slater with right hands from the mount, then stops Gabriel again from making the tag. Slater with a front chancery as the crowd wills on Gabriel. Gabriel with a slam to break free, but Mahal knocks Kidd off the apron. 3MB with the triple team while the ref is with Kidd. McIntyre with a suplex for a nearfall. McIntyre with a leaping stomp to the back of the head. Mahal in as he & McIntyre go for a double back suplex, but Gabriel breaks free and hits a double dropkick. McIntyre knocks Kidd off the apron, then tags in Slater. Gabriel fights back, but again Slater stops him from making the tag. McIntyre in with clotheslines, but Gabriel counters a short-arm clothesline with an enziguri. Kidd finally gets the tag and hits a springboard dropkick. Kidd mocks Slater after a series of kicks and hits a dropkick. Kidd with an enziguri on Mahal, then goes for the Sharpshooter on Slater, but McIntyre nails him from behind, but Kidd is able to kick out. Kidd with the backflip kick on Slater, heads up top and hits the Blockbuster, but 3MB break it up. Gabriel with a crossbody on McIntyre & Mahal. Kidd with a slingshot O’Connor Roll for a nearfall. Kidd’s momentum, however, sends him into a cheapshot by Slater.
Slater then hits the Smash Hit (Impaler DDT) on Kidd for the Victory.
Winners: Three Man Band by pinfall (The Smash Hit)

To close out Main Event, we see footage of last month on Main Event when Kane injured Cody Rhodes during the Team Hell No-Rhodes Scholars match for the WWE Tag Team Titles.
Next week, it will be Kane vs. Cody Rhodes on Main Event.
