“Had a great time this week calling both Raw and Smackdown. I had always wanted to call matches with JR and was great to be able to do so, especially considering how good the show was Monday.
I thought the McMahon vs CM Punk match was excellent, a perfect story of the old lion McMahon who always finds a way to win against the “Best in the World”.
The run in by Ryback surprised me at the reaction he got, WWE has got a bonafide star in Ryback. The problem now comes in fulfilling the hype, a great job has been done with Ryback-and there will be some hiccups along the way, but he has gotten over in a huge way in a short amount of time.
It goes to show that some have ‘it’ and some don’t. It’s still too early completely to tell, but I think Ryback does have ‘it’.
Still don’t know what the future holds for me and WWE, I just know I am having a great time filling in for King while he recovers. Our youth program in Bermuda starts up this month for this season and I have a lot to do to get ready.
Not to mention that I have ‘Mt Death’ waiting on me in January in South America and I have 13 weeks to train starting on Friday. This mountain is a lot harder than Kilimanjaro and going to have to put in a lot of time getting ready.
So, don’t have an answer for all those who ask what my future is, I am having a ball being back. I make fun of Cole incessantly (which I really enjoy btw) but he is as prepared as anyone I have ever seen do a telecast. It’s really easy just being able to react knowing he is doing the brunt of the work.
Not sure what I am doing if anything next week, but would love to be around for Jerry Lawler’s return in Memphis if possible.”
