Here are the results from the September 15th edition of NWA Top Of Texas Wrestling from Amarillo, TX.
The show kicked off with “The Manager of International Greatness” Malik Rasheed leading the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance. General Manager Jack Logan than welcomed out our new NWA-TOT Tag Team Champions, Rhythm & Groove. JB Sneaux would come out, stating the his partner, CoCo Ramirez was running late, but would be here shortly. He said he heard all over that their win last week was a fluke, but they wanted to prove that they were legit champions, and were issuing an open challenge to any tag teams. Nemesis came out, and looked as though he was going to congratulate the new Tag Champion. Instead, after shaking JB’s hand, he pulled him in and attacked him, laying out the champion with a Chokeslam Powerbomb. CoCo would show up to help his buddy out, and Nemesis would leave the building.
In singles competition, El Grande would defeat Nitsu Katamoto via DQ when Nitsu would be caught tossing powder into El Grande’s face.
Austin Riley would make his way out to the ring. He said that, since last week, everything has just been jumbled in his head, and he was looking for a fight, and challenged The Benitez Brothers to a tag team match in the main event. Benny and JoJo would make their way to the ring, and Benny would state that, since last week, they had nothing to worry about. Benny told JoJo to take the night off, and he would take care of Austin right now.
In singles competition, Benny Benitez would defeat Austin Riley via pinfall after a huge Maulerbomb. Afterwards, ring announcer Rocky would make the announcement that, via the GM’s decision, JoJo Benitez would face off against NWA-TOT Heavyweight Champion Shawn Sanders in the main event.
NWA-TOT Panhandle Champion Ryan Justice would come out, and said he was going to prove that he is the greatest champion in Top Of Texas today. He had scouted the top talent from all over Texas, and would be facing them in a 3 Man Gauntlet match right now!
In a non-title singles gauntlet, Ryan Justice would defeat Ricky Graves, Erra, and Chris Wolfe.
In the semi-main event, The Josh Jackson would defeat Chris Brown via submission to retain the NWA-TOT Light Heavyweight Championship.
After around 15 minutes of grueling action, the non-title main event of JoJo Benitez and Shawn Sanders would be thrown out when JoJo would pull special referee Nolen Phillips into Sanders’ Superkick. Referee Mike Gentry would make the decision to throw out the match. After the match, Benny Benitez would stand on the stage and taunt Sanders, claiming that he would be the champion again very soon.
