Update on Hannibal Pro Wrestling President’s health
From Devon Nicholson (picture attached of Hannibal with painting Graham did for him):
“I’ll be having knee surgery for a torn MCL and torn meniscus on August 16th with Dr. Oliver at the Keptville District Hospital in Kemptville ON (see attached note). The recovery will be 4 weeks. I injured the knee in an amateur wrestling match in Toronto in early November. I still continued to train and do tournaments until the Canadian Olympic trials December 18th which I won second in Greco Roman wrestling at 120 kg despite the injury. I held off getting surgery in case I was needed as an alternate in London which I was not unfortunately but I wish the Canadian wrestlers who are there good luck.
I’m going to see Dr. Hector Rodriguez at the Liver Institute in Phoenix AZ next week about treating my Hep C. Dr. Rodriquez is the same Dr. who performed former WWE Champion “Superstar” Billy Graham’s (who also has Hep C) liver transplant 10 years ago. Graham wants to help me get treated before I get to the point of needing a liver transplant and has hooked me up with him.
Dr. Rodriguez has already looked at my medical records and believes he can treat me successfully with the new Hep C drug Incivek. I will be explained more next week. This treatment for my type of Hep C will likely not be approved in Canada for another 3-5 years. Hep C kills more people than AIDS and is the number one reason for liver transplants in the US. I don’t want to wait any longer to be treated as want to be able to move on with my life and not have to have the constant thought of having a deadly disease in my body running through my mind. I already have an enlarged spleen and liver enzymes double and triple normal levels because of the disease.”
