Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s WWE Superstars recap.

If you all are ready, then since Adelitas Way is playing the intro, let’s get on with the show!

“The One Man Band” Heath Slater vs. Tyson Kidd

Kidd with a waistlock, but Slater with a switch. Kidd then takes Slater down and goes for the arm. Slater with a head scissors, but Kidd kips out of it. “Let’s go Kidd” chants as they lock-up. Slater with a side headlock, Kidd with an Irish whip, but Slater with a shoulder tackle as he is happy with himself, taunting the crowd. “Slater sucks” chants as they lock-up again. Slater backs Kidd into the corner and hits a right hand. Slater with a hammerlock, but Kidd gets to the ropes and while doing so, maneuvers himself to counter into his own hammerlock. Kidd with a kick to Slater’s arm, then hits an armdrag into an armbar. Kidd switches to a keylock, then Slater backs him into the ropes and hits a knee to the gut. Irish whip by Slater, but Kidd slides under his legs. Kidd then with a wheelbarrow into a victory roll for a nearfall. Kidd with another armdrag back into the armbar. Slater Irish whips out of the hold and then catches Kidd coming in with a kitchen sink.

Slater with a pair of stomps, then unloads with stomps in the corner before choking Kidd with his boot. Slater with a right hand that knocks Kidd down. Slater with another right hand, followed by an Irish whip, but Kidd sidesteps Slater’s back drop attempt with a kick to the chest. Kidd charges at Slater in the corner, but Slater moves out of the way and then hits a running neckbreaker for a nearfall. Slater with some more stomps, then pushes Kidd to the outside. Slater taunts the crowd while Kidd is writhing in pain as we go to commercial.

Commercial

Back from commercial as Slater has Kidd in a chinlock. Kidd breaks free, but then Slater catches Kidd coming in with a heel kick for a nearfall. Slater goes to the mount and unloads with right hands, then has words with the referee. Slater goes back to the chinlock, with his knee driven into the back of Kidd. Slater with a kneedrop to the small of Kidd’s back, then goes back to the chinlock. The crowd wills on Kidd as Slater hits a series of elbows to the chest. Kidd tries to break free, but Slater nails him with an elbow to the back. Slater goes for a back suplex, but Kidd lands on his feet.

Slater misses a clothesline and Kidd comes back with a pair of kicks to the quad of Slater. Kidd then hits a spin kick to Slater, followed by a spinning back kick to the gut. Kidd goes off the ropes and connects with a running front dropkick to the side of Slater’s head for a nearfall. Kidd with a forearm, followed by an Irish whip, but Slater reverses it. Kidd holds onto the ropes to put on the brakes as Slater charges in, but then Kidd hits him with his backflip kick that propels Kidd onto the apron. Slater comes back in, but Kidd drills him with an enziguri. Kidd heads up top, but Slater runs up the ropes and connects with a super powerslam that sends Kidd rolling out to the outside. Slater sends Kidd back into the ring and gains a close nearfall. Slater can’t believe it, then tries for another cover, but Kidd kicks out again and Slater is angry. Slater with right hands in the corner on Kidd, then has words with the referee again. Slater charges in, but Kidd catches him with a back elbow. Slater with another charge, but Kidd catches him with another enziguri. Slater’s head is dangling across the bottom rope which allows Kidd to connect with a slingshot legdrop to the back of Slater’s head.

Kidd heads back up top and hits the Top Rope Blockbuster for the victory.

Winner: Tyson Kidd by pinfall (Top Rope Blockbuster)

Natalya vs. WWE Divas Champion Layla

Layla goes for a lock-up, but Natalya shoves her down. Natalya with a kick to the previously injured right leg of Layla, then just sits on Layla’s chest nonchalantly for a nearfall. Natalya with a hard slap to the face, followed by an Irish whip. Layla, however, catches Natalya with a roll through takedown and then hooks both arms of Natalya in a unique pinning predicament for a nearfall. Natalya with a forward kip-up, but Layla with a kick to the gut, followed by a receipt of Natalya’s previous slap with one of her own. Layla with a side headlock, Natalya with an Irish whip, but as she drops down, Layla stops, jumps over Natalya and does a little dance to mock Natalya. Natalya does not take too kindly to that as she charges in, but Layla catches her with a drop toe hold, sending Natalya throat first into the middle rope. Layla then with a slap to the keister and does some more dancing, which incenses Natalya. Natalya says “How dare you?”, then charges, but misses a clothesline as Layla with a faceplant, followed by a clothesline. Layla with a spinning back kick to the gut, then goes to the ropes and hits a double-jump, turnaround crossbody for a nearfall. Natalya goes to the apron to catch a breather, but then Layla does some more dancing and uses her posterior to knock Natalya off the apron and to the outside. Natalya grabs at Layla’s leg, but Layla kicks her off. Layla plays to the crowd and goes for a baseball slide, but Natalya pulls up the ring skirt and traps Layla inside it. Natalya then unloads with right hands on Layla and kicks her square in Layla’s previously injured knee.

Natalya taunts the crowd, then throws Layla back into the ring. Natalya drives Layla’s head into the mat, then does a catapult that sends Layla face first into the mat. Natalya with her own slap to the keister, then stomps Layla before gaining a nearfall. Natalya stands on Layla’s back and then the fingers before hooking Layla in the Bow & Arrow. Layla is able to break free and cover Natalya for a nearfall. Layla goes for a kick, but Natalya blocks it. Layla then rolls up Natalya for a nearfall. Natalya comes back with a discus clothesline for a nearfall. Natalya throws a tantrum to the referee, then goes for a suplex, but Layla is able to counter and get to her feet.

Layla then drills Natalya with a roundhouse kick to the head for the victory.

Winner: WWE Divas Champion Layla by pinfall (Roundhouse Kick)

Back from commercial, we go to this week’s “RAW Rebound”, highlighting what happened between CM Punk, John Cena & The Big Show before the main event.

Main Event: “The Cape Town Werewolf” Justin Gabriel vs. Cody Rhodes

Lock-up and Rhodes with a side headlock takedown. Gabriel counters with a headscissors, but Rhodes kips out of it. Rhodes with another side headlock takedown, Gabriel again counters with a headscissors, then Rhodes kicks out of it to break free. Lock-up and Rhodes backs Gabriel into the corner. Gabriel spins Rhodes around and breaks clean. Rhodes starts to go after Gabriel, but Gabriel slaps him across the face. Rhodes has words with the referee and the crowd before he & Gabriel lock-up again. Gabriel with a side headlock takedown. Rhodes Irish whips out, but Gabriel knocks him down with a shoulder tackle. Gabriel goes after Rhodes, but Rhodes gets himself to the corner to force a break. Rhodes misses a clothesline, Gabriel goes for a back suplex, but Rhodes lands on his feet. Gabriel charges in, but Rhodes catches him with a drop toe hold that sends Gabriel face first off the bottom turnbuckle. Rhodes stomps away at Gabriel in the corner, then taunts the crowd. Gabriel tries to fight back, but Rhodes comes back with some more stomps. Gabriel then spins Rhodes around and hits an overhand chop, a stomp and a series of forearms. Irish whip by Gabriel, reversed by Rhodes. Rhodes goes for a hiptoss, but Gabriel lands on his feet and then sweeps out Rhodes’ leg. Gabriel with a forearm and a pair of kicks to the gut, followed by a corner whip, however Rhodes reverses it. Rhodes with a kick to the gut, followed by a right hand. Rhodes with a kick to the leg, then locks Gabriel in a keylock. Rhodes steps over to put more pressure on the hold as the crowd wills on Gabriel. Gabriel breaks free, but Rhodes comes right back with a clothesline for a 1 count. Rhodes with a hammerlock as Gabriel pulls at his face to break free. Gabriel breaks free, then Rhodes misses a clothesline and Gabriel goes off the ropes, connecting with a flying shoulder tackle. Gabriel with a clothesline, then runs up onto the middle rope, connecting with a front missile dropkick for a nearfall.

Rhodes rolls out to the outside to catch a breather as we go to commercial.

Commercial

Back from commercial as Gabriel with a crucifix for a nearfall. Gabriel with an inside cradle for another nearfall. Gabriel with a kick to the gut, a snapmare and then a stump puller into a roll-up for yet another nearfall. Gabriel with an armdrag into an armbar. Rhodes backs Gabriel into the corner, followed by a corner whip. Rhodes charges in, but Gabriel scissors his head and sends Rhodes over the ropes and to the outside. Gabriel goes for a leaping rana off the apron, but Rhodes counters it into a powerbomb on the outside.

Rhodes rolls back into the ring and tells the referee to speed up his 10 count. Gabriel is just able to get back in, but Rhodes proceeds to stomp away at him. Rhodes chokes Gabriel with his boot, then hits a standing gourdbuster for a nearfall. Rhodes with a stomp to the back, but Gabriel fights back with some kicks. Rhodes comes back with a stomp, followed by a knee to the gut and a right hand that knocks Gabriel down for a nearfall. Rhodes goes back to the step-over keylock as the crowd wills on Gabriel. Gabriel tries to break free, but Rhodes comes back with a gut shot. Rhodes then hits the Hardcore Holly style hanging low blow, then goes for the Alabama Slam, but Gabriel counters out. Both men then charge at one another and clunk heads, causing both to go down.

Both men get back up at 8 as Gabriel with a series of kicks to the leg of Rhodes. Gabriel with a spin kick to the head, followed by an Irish whip. Rhodes reverses the whip, but Gabriel with a Tiger flip over Rhodes’ back and hits a spinning heel kick. Gabriel is all fired up as he charges at Rhodes in the corner, connecting with an angled avalanche that sends Gabriel onto the apron. Gabriel goes for a slingshot move, but Rhodes rolls out to the outside. Gabriel then hits Rhodes with a slingshot corkscrew plancha on the outside. Gabriel fires himself up, then sends Rhodes back in. Gabriel connects with a springboard missile dropkick to the back of Rhodes’ head for a close nearfall. Gabriel can’t believe it, then places Rhodes on the top turnbuckle. Gabriel goes up with Rhodes, but Rhodes fights him off. Gabriel gets back on the ropes, but Rhodes nails him with a headbutt. Rhodes then connects with a super standing gourdbuster, sending Gabriel crashing to the mat below for a nearfall. Rhodes goes for a Russian leg sweep, but Gabriel blocks it by holding onto the ropes and it sends Rhodes crashing down to the mat. Gabriel then hits a springboard moonsault for another close nearfall. Gabriel again can’ t believe it as he goes for an STO, but Rhodes blocks it with elbows. Rhodes goes for the Beautiful Disaster, but Gabriel ducks underneath.

Gabriel then goes for a roundhouse kick, but Rhodes ducks and then hits Cross Rhodes on Gabriel for the victory.

Winner: Cody Rhodes by pinfall (Cross Rhodes)

Rhodes celebrates his win as we go to credits.
