PCO explains why he smashed the TNA Digital Media Title at GCW show

PCO recently spoke with Fightful Select revealing why he smashed the TNA Digital Media Title at the People vs. GCW pay-per-view, which took place back on January 19. He also spoke about how his relationship with TNA Wrestling began to sour after he sustained a concussion back in December 2024.

-PCO said that he was in the midst of negotiating a new contract and that the initial offer maintained his per-date pay, but reduced the number of dates. He said he countered the offer by proposing for reduced pay per date in exchange for making more appearances indicating that the constant need to be featured on TNA TV was something that was very crucial to him. He added that his counter offer was verbally agreed upon.

-PCO said that he relationship with TNA began to sour after he sustained a concussion back in December 2024. He said that after he was injured, he was advised to go get checked out at the hospital, but that no one from TNA went with him. He added he was told that he had to cover all the expenses on his personal credit card and then request for reimbursement at a later date. He noted that being concerned with how expensive things would be, along with the cost of the CT scan, he was hesitant if TNA would actually reimburse him, so, he held back from going. His also noted that the hesitation was a result from a previous experience he had with a staph infection during a desert fight match with Eddie Edwards, where TNA did not reimburse him for his medical expenses.

-PCO said that TNA Wrestling rescinded their contract offer back on December 19, 2024, and that no one from the company communicated with him most of January. He said that not having any contact was a breach of trust and a sign of disrespect, especially with the effort he put forth to increase the attendance for Slammiversary and the TV tapings that followed. The PPV had a sizable sellout crowd.

-PCO said that the reason he smashed the TNA Digital Media Title was to make an impactful and memorable moment. TNA did indicate later after the incident that the title PCO smashed was a replica and the company had the original title belt at the time.

-Despite his fallout with TNA, The 57-Year Old PCO did have positive things to say about his time with TNA. He praised the locker room and the production team, adding that he has a lot of appreciation for his overall experience in the company.
