Fightful Select has published updates on Malakai Black and JoJo Offerman.
According to sources from AEW, the belief is when Malakai Black lost to Adam Cole back on the November 7 episode of Dynamite, he was finishing up with AEW, if he has not already. In addition, the same sources did not specify to Fightful if Black we return to AEW TV in the near future. At the time of this writing, Black is still listed on AEW’s roster page.
There were option years in Black’s contract after 2025. Tony Khan had previously said that Black was under contract with AEW until 2027. He first signed with AEW back in 2021 and made his debut at the Dynamite
Malakai Black first debuted for AEW at the July 7, 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite: Road Rager.
Former AEW ring announcer JoJo Offerman did some ring announcing for dark matches at last Saturday’s AEW Collision. Now according to Fightful Select, sources in AEW have said that Offerman is expected to do more with the company. However, it unclear at time of this writing when she may return and if she will have a different role other than ring announcing.
Offerman quietly left WWE in back 2021.
