For a yuletide battlin’…
It’s Christmas, and you know what that means!
We open with a wide shot of the packed crowd inside the Hammerstein, before Will Ospreay makes his way down the ramp for our opening match of the night. Out next is Brody King as commentary runs down the current standings, and this match gets underway!
Continental Classic Gold League Match: Will Ospreay (6) vs. Brody King (6)
The two men circle the mat as the crowd chants for Ospreay, who goes for a kick on King to no avail. He lands another kick, but is sent to the corner by King who continues the attack until Ospreay fights back, hitting a headscissors before he finds himself launched into the corner by the big man. Ospreay goes for a scoop slam but King blocks it, dropping him to the canvas for a nearfall. King goes back on the attack, but Will gets his knees up to build back momentum. The action spills to the outside, where Ospreay sends King to the steps…only to be driven into the steps himself!
Ospreay is sent to the barricade, where King lays in a chop for good measure. He continues the attack by sending Will into the barricade again before showing a bit of respect to a fan in the front row. King brings Ospreay back into the ring, going after his head before Ospreay fights back to his feet. This leads to an exchange of strikes that Ospreay seems to win…until he hits the ropes, where he gets intercepted with a back body drop by Brody! Ospreay is in a world of hurt as we go to picture-in-picture.
Picture-in-Picture: The action once again spills to the outside as King continues the assault, breaking the ref’s count before going back to wear Ospreay down. He brings Will back in the ring for a running senton, but only gets a nearfall for his effort. He boots Ospreay in the head as Will tries to get back to a standing position, getting a forearm strike on Brody when he makes it to his feet. He is met with a big strike before King locks in a bearhug as we come back from break…
…where Ospreay manages to escape the hold, only to be sent for a ride by a vertical suplex from King! Ospreay fights back, sending Brody out of the ring with a boot before hitting a Skytwister Press on the big man to send him crashing to the floor! Back in the ring we go, as a springboard strike from Ospreay gets him a nearfall. Both men are back on their feet as we get an exchange of chops between King and Ospreay. This brings Will to the corner, where he lays in some forearm strikes until Brody nearly lays him out, setting Ospreay up on the turnbuckle for a massive chop that forces him out to the floor!
King brings Ospreay to his for a forearm, propping him up against the barricade before charging at him. Brody brings him back in the ring, setting him up in the corner for a running cannonball and the cover…but Ospreay kicks out! King looks to finish things here but Ospreay drops to the mat, leading to a big stomp from King. Ospreay tries to force his way up to a vertical base, but is met with a boot to the face by King…but he still manages to get to his feet, responding to King with some strikes of his own.
Brody lays in some strikes to wear Ospreay down, but the Aerial Assassin is still in this as he fights back with some more strikes, followed by a shoulder charge that creates some much-needed space. Will hits some kicks to turn things around, but is chopped down hard by King…only to catch the big man by surprise for a Styles Clash! Cover by Ospreay, but only gets a two count. Ospreay manages to hit a Hidden Blade on him, but that only gets him a nearfall once again…even a second attempt garners the same result.
It ends up being a Storm Breaker to put the big man away, as Ospreay gets the win and his final three points for the tournament!

We head backstage, where Renee and Christopher Daniels intercept the Hurt Business to inform them that MVP and Bobby Lashley are banned from the building tonight, ahead of Shelton Benjamin’s match against Kazuchika Okada. MVP says that out of respect for Renee they’ll honor the request, walking off as we cut away.
Back at ringside, Darby Allin heads down the ramp for our next match, before Ricochet heads to the ring to a toilet paper greeting from the crowd before we get underway!
Continental Classic Gold League Match: Darby Allin (6) vs. Ricochet (9)
Darby gets the early advantage on Ricochet, before they head to the corner where Ricochet complains about…Darby pulling his hair? The ref sees right through this as Ricochet changes his excuse, before going back on the offensive…only for Allin to take him to the mat with a side headlock takedown. Darby follows with another one as Ricochet tries to fight out of the grip, eventually rolling Darby to his shoulders for a nearfall that breaks the hold.
Both men make it to their feet, where Ricochet catches Allin with a cheap shot that sends him into the corner as we go to picture-in-picture.
Picture-in-Picture: Ricochet turns things around now, gaining control of the situation as he sends Darby into the corner once more to wear him down. Ricochet with a kick to Darby’s head, as Sling insists that I go through a full commercial break. Better believe I’ll be remembering this when it comes time to renew…
-Commercial Break-
Back to the action as Ricochet brings Darby out of the corner to the chagrin of the crowd, something he enjoys as grabs one of the TP rolls that comes his way and throws it back into the crowd. Darby gets the advantage here as the crowd can’t quite help themselves with the toilet paper…meanwhile, Darby catches Ricochet with a throw into the barricade, only for Ricochet to respond in kind. He brings Darby back in the ring for a springboard attack, mocking the crowd before making the cover…only for Darby to kick out!
Ricochet keeps him at bay before heading up top for a 450 splash, but it’s only good for a nearfall as Darby rolls away. He builds up momentum with a top rope attack and a second rope cross body for a nearfall of his own, the two trading pin attempts until a La Magistral gets Darby a two count that pops the crowd.
The action spills to the outside as Ricochet sends Darby into the barricade with a knee strike, pulling a table out from under the ring out of frustration. He grabs a second table for a double stick, setting Allin up on top for some punches to the head as the ref tries his best to intervene…but to no avail as Ricochet climbs up top, hitting a 630 senton that drives Darbo and himself through the tables! Both men are out as we go to picture-in-picture.
Picture-in-Picture: Ricochet finally recovers, heading back in the ring as officials check on Darby Allin. Ricochet insists that the ref come back in the ring to start the count, to which the ref obliges…only for Ricochet to be impatient, leaving the ring to continue the attack on Allin before coming back. The ref begins the count once more as a doctor checks on Darby, who manages to get back in the ring as Ricochet goes after him. The action ends up on the apron as Darby slams him into it before returning to the ring as we come back from break!
Darby manages to beat the count as he gets in the ring, but Ricochet goes right back on top of him for some stomps and other strikes. The ref checks on Darby as Ricochet leaps over him, hitting Allin with a stomp! Doc Sampson continues to check on Allin’s status as Ricochet resumes the onslaught with a series of chops in the corner. He sets Darby up on the turnbuckle, only to be met with some strikes from Darby.
Ricochet tries once again to set up for a superplex, but Darby fights back to dig into the back of Ricochet…before hitting a Code Red sending him to the mat! He hits a second Code Red for good measure, but only gets a two count as Ricochet kicks out!
Ricochet rolls to the ropes as Darby gets to his feet, and the two go at it in the ropes before Darby gets dropped…only to roll out of harm’s way, setting up the Fujiwara armbar on Ricochet! Two minute warning as Darby stays on the arm of Ricochet, who is struggling to get out of the hold. He crawls toward the ropes, reaching…until Darby traps his arm! Ricochet reaches for the rope with his boot, finally getting a proverbial toe on the bottom rope for the break. One minute remains!
Ricochet is sent in the corner but hits a knee strike…only for Darby to catch him with a Scorpion Death Drop! He struggles to his feet as we get the countdown from ten…Darby gets up top for a Coffin Drop, but only has two seconds left as he goes for the cover! This match has ended in a time limit draw!
Result: Match ends in time limit draw – Ricochet (10) advances to the semifinal at Worlds End
Ricochet leaves the ring to a bit of boos, super smug about advancing to the semifinal as he heads up the ramp. Darby leaves the ring as Komander makes his way out, with Allin offering some advice before making his way up the ramp as Komander heads to the ring for our next match, hoping to finally score some points in the Continental Classic.
With the new ROH World Television Champion in the ring, we cut to a promo from Jay White, who talks about the 4-Way match at Worlds End for the AEW World Championship. Mox knows the most dangerous thing for him is a one on one match with the Switchblade, hence this 4-Way match…but no matter how crowded this match may be, White will find his way to the champ and the title!
-Commercial Break-
Back in the ring, Claudio has made his entrance already and this match gets underway!
Continental Classic Gold League Match: Komander (0) vs. Claudio Castagnoli (9)
Despite his attempts to use his speed, Komander is met with a bit of power from the trios champ. Komander turns it around by sending Claudio to the corner, but gets intercepted from a rope walk before Castagnoli slams him to the mat, following up to garner a nearfall.
Claudio goes after the head of the luchador, before setting him up in the corner for a gutbuster off the top rope! Claudio with the cover, but Komander manages to kick out at two!
Claudio sends him into the corner for a series of strikes that sends the luchador to the mat. Komander fights his way to his feet, only to be laid out with an uppercut by Castagnoli, who ends up getting another nearfall as a result. Komander makes it back up, building up momentum until Claudio catches him on his shoulders. Komander brings him to the ropes, but is dropped to the apron with a powerbomb after both men get to the floor outside!
They get back on the apron, where Komander catches him with a headscissors sending Castagnoli to the hardest part of the ring! Komander gets back in the ring, and as Claudio heads to the corner from the outside he’s met with a dive over the post by the luchador. Komander brings him back in the ring, setting up for a submission hold that gets broken by Claudio sending him into the corner. Claudio gets a nearfall off of this, sending Komander back into the corner shortly after. Komander is brought to the ropes, where he is sent to the floor outside by Claudio before the ref intervenes.
While the ref is dealing with Castagnoli, we finally find out what advice Darby gave Komander…as he pulls out Allin’s jacket from under the ring, revealing a set of brass knuckles that he catches Claudio with! The ref doesn’t see it, but he does see Komander heading up top to get the drop on Castagnoli…and picks up the win and three points!
Winner via pinfall: Komander (3)
The win for Komander means that our semifinals are set for the Gold League, but that plays second fiddle to Komander getting a beatdown from the arriving Death Riders! This is interrupted by Jay White running to the ring, soon joined by Orange Cassidy…but the Death Riders overwhelm the pair, clearing the ring before Mox gets a microphone. Mox says this is as close as these two will get to seeing the world title, but is interrupted by the arrival of Hangman Adam Page, who is joined by his fellow challengers in the ring to stare the champion down. They clear him out of the ring, leaving the briefcase with the title behind…and the challengers staring each other down ahead of Worlds End.
We get a hype package for the TBS Championship match at Worlds End before heading back to ringside, where the coin drop signals the arrival of Kazuchika Okada. The champion makes his way down the ramp for our next match, as commentary confirms that Ricochet and Will Ospreay (who holds the tiebreaker over Claudio Castagnoli) have both advanced to the semifinal matches at Worlds End. Shelton Benjamin makes his way out next, and this Blue League match is underway!
Continental Classic Blue League Match: Shelton Benjamin (6) vs. Kazuchika Okada (7)
The pair circle before locking up, trading holds to start things off. Benjamin starts to build up momentum here, but the Continental Champion brings it to a halt when he leaves the ring for a breather. Shelton pursues him, but this turns out to be an error as Okada drops him to the floor before bringing him back into the ring.
Okada takes him down with a scoop slam before climbing up top, presumably for an elbow drop…but he gets caught with an avalanche exploder from Shelton instead, with both men down as we go to picture-in-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: Okada rolls out of the ring, but is soon intercepted by Shelton who goes back on the attack before bringing the champ back into the ring. Shelton cinches in a chinlock on Okada, who struggles to break the hold as we come back from break!
Okada finally manages to get back into this, taking Benjamin down from the ropes. Shelton heads to the corner, where he’s met with a running knee from the champ…only to fight back, sending Okada down hard to the canvas. Shelton sets up for a tombstone piledriver, but Okada breaks free…only to be caught in an ankle lock by Benjamin!
Okada manages to break free of the grip here as well, eventually catching Benjamin with a Money Clip before being sent to the corner to break the hold. Okada responds by hoisting Shelton up, dropping him neck-first onto the knee. Okada with another scoop slam, this time connecting with the elbow drop before getting to his feet…flipping off the crowd and Shelton in the process, but Benjamin escapes a Rainmaker lariat attempt.
Benjamin hits a German suplex on the champ, followed by another…and at the behest of the crowd, hits a third suplex for good measure! Okada is left in the corner as Shelton hits a running knee…only to be cradled by Okada for a nearfall. Both men on their feet as Benjamin hits a set of forearm strikes, and hits the ropes before Okada intercepts with a dropkick. Okada ends up with a two count for his efforts here as Benjamin looks to go back after him…only to be laid out with a Rainmaker lariat that gets the champ the win!
Winner via pinfall: Kazuchika Okada (10)
The win cements Okada’s place in the Blue League semifinal, with Kyle Fletcher and Daniel Garcia set to face off for the remaining slot at Worlds End. After a little bit of disrespect from the champ, Okada offers a handshake that Benjamin accepts to the approval of the crowd.
Backstage, we hear from Swerve as he talks about 2024 and his plans to rebound in 2025…only to be interrupted by Ricochet gloating about his semifinal spot at Worlds End, promising to do what Swerve couldn’t by winning the Continental Classic. Strickland shuts him down here, saying he’s rooting for him but Ricochet had better not blow it. Swerve walks off, with Ricochet making a remark that “this is why you don’t have a house no more” as we cut to commercial.
-Commercial Break-
We get another “New York Minute” from the ROH World Champion as Chris Jericho, who finally accepts the challenge of Anthony Bowens for a match this Friday on AEW Rampage!
Back at ringside, Toni Storm makes her way to the ring for our next match. She looks a bit nervous as Taya Valkyrie comes to the ring next, and this match is underway!
Toni Storm vs. Taya Valkyrie
Taya gets the advantage early on here, wearing down Storm as the crowd plays into Toni’s confusion with “she’s a rookie” chants. Toni starts fighting back after being sent to the corner, but Taya catches her by surprise, dropping her to the canvas before leaving the ring and driving her leg into the ring post as we go to picture-in-picture.
Picture-in-Picture: Taya maintains control of the match before coming back into the ring, wearing Toni down some more before Storm starts fighting back. Taya gets back on the attack here, going after the former champion’s legs as Toni struggles to escape before we go back from the break…
…just in time for Toni to roll Taya up for a nearfall that breaks the hold! Taya gets sent to the corner as Toni gets back to her feet, only for Valkyrie to take her right back to the mat. She goes back to the legs of Storm as Deonna swipes her hand off the rope. Toni gets back to her feet, sending Taya to the corner for a running hip attack. Taya responds with a slap in the face that riles Toni up, only to be taken to the mat by Valkyrie….but Storm catches her by surprise with an inside cradle for the win!

Video Package: The feud between MJF and Adam Cole comes to a head at Worlds End, with MJF’s Dynamite Diamond Ring on the line!
-Commercial Break-
Backstage, Hangman Adam Page addresses what he and the other challengers are up to when Christopher Daniels interrupts. Daniels offers a bit of help to the Hangman seeing as Jay has Bullet Club Gold and Cassidy has The Conglomeration to back him up against Mox and the Death Riders. He’s known Page for fifteen years, so if he needs a friend at Worlds End…he’ll be there. Daniels leaves, and Page says no interview…it’s Christmas.
Back at ringside, Daniel Garcia makes his way to the ring for our main event. Out next is Kyle Fletcher, and this match is underway!
Continental Classic Blue League Match: Daniel Garcia (7) vs. Kyle Fletcher (9)
Kyle charges at Garcia, sending him to the corner before the ref intervenes. They go back at it, and this time it’s Daniel sending Fletcher to the corner before the ref forces a break. Kyle leaves the ring for a breather before returning, laying a boot to the TNT Champion as the crowd gives out to him. Garcia goes back at it, but is caught with a kick to the face…but Daniel fights back by sending Kyle to the corner before mounting up for some punches.
Fletcher sends Garcia out to the floor, but this gives Daniel some time to recover before Kyle leaves the ring to continue the assault…sending Garcia into the barricade and to the floor as we go to picture-in-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: Kyle maintains control of the match with his nod to one Randall Keith Orton, a draped DDT from the second rope keeping Garcia at bay as Kyle follows up with a big clothesline off the ropes. Garcia struggles to get to the ropes as Fletcher mocks the crowd, still smug as ever as we come back from break!
Garcia slowly gets to his feet before Kyle goes back after him, but this only leads to a trading of strikes before Garcia tries to take Fletcher off his feet with some clotheslines. He finally gets Kyle to the mat, but Fletcher responds with a corkscrew brainbuster attempt that Garcia escapes…before sending Fletcher over the rope to the outside! Garcia leaves the ring to run at Kyle, driving him into the barricade. Garcia brings Fletcher back into the ring, dropping him for a nearfall after a neckbreaker.
Kyle fights back looking for a suplex, only for Garcia to catch him with a guillotine hold. Fletcher gets to the ropes to force a break, but Daniel gets a guillotine on him in the ropes. The ref calls for a break, but Kyle breaks free to drop Garcia onto the apron! Fletcher brings the TNT Champion back in the ring for a nasty-looking Liger Bomb…only for Garcia to kick out at two! Garcia fights back, only for Kyle to stop a Dragontamer attempt.
The ref is nearly ran into by Garcia, and the distraction allows Fletcher to hit a low blow for the cover…but Garcia kicks out once again! Fletcher is flustered here as he grabs Daniel by the arm, bringing him to the corner for a right hand on the turnbuckle. He sets the champ up on the turnbuckle, but Garcia escapes a brainbuster attempt. The two end up falling to the mat, struggling to move as the ref checks on them.
Both men finally make it to their feet, trading strikes until Kyle catches Garcia with two thrust kicks…but Garcia escapes a follow up attack to lock in the Dragontamer! Kyle is struggling here as the crowd tells him to tap out. Garcia leans back, wrenching the leg even further…until Fletcher catches him by the jaw to finally break the hold!
Fletcher hits a knee strike, but is caught with a jackknife cover for two by Garcia…only for Fletcher to send him in the corner. He runs at the champ twice before lifting Garcia up for a brainbuster that gets him the win and his final three points!
Winner via pinfall: Kyle Fletcher (12)
With the win, our semifinal matches are set: Ricochet, winning the Gold League, faces the Blue League runner-up and Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada…and the Blue League winner Kyle Fletcher faces the Gold League runner-up, Will Ospreay! Ospreay makes his way to the ring to confront his former friend, the man he faces at Worlds End to get to the Continental Classic final. The commentary runs down the rest of the Worlds End card to bring Dynamite on 34th St. to a close…or maybe not, brother.
We cut to Mox and Marina Shafir, as Mox promises to make a sacrifice out of anyone standing in his way. He says these three men think the AEW World Championship is something you win, but to Mox it’s something you are. He’s not looking to simply parade around with the belt, as he has a point to make.
He calls himself the king, born for all the things that come with it, and he is the only king there has ever been. With that, the pair walk off as Dynamite on 34th St. finally comes to a close. For real this time.
