MMA icon Dan Severn to provide seminar at Dan Gable Museum
WATERLOO, Iowa—One of the most successful wrestlers in the history of Mixed Martial Arts will provide a seminar at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum on Saturday, July 14 at noon. The demonstration will take place in the Dan Gable Teaching Center during the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum.
UFC Hall of Famer Dan Severn, a former two-time All-American wrestler for Arizona State, will provide the seminar. Severn has a career MMA record of 101-19-7. He will also receive the George Tragos Award, which is given to an exceptionally competitive wrestler who adapted his wrestling skills and competitive nature to excel in Mixed Martial Arts.
Severn will receive his award during the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame banquet. He also received the Frank Gotch Award in 2002. Severn is the first wrestler to receive two different awards from the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum.
