The 12/12 edition of ROH on HonorClub saw Athena celebrate passing the two-year mark as ROH Women’s World Champion.
Winning the belt from Mercedes Martinez at Final Battle 2022, Athena has defended against such names as Miyu Yamashita, Willow Nightingale, Marina Shafir, Skye Blue, Hikaru Shida, Red Velvet, Abadon, Nyla Rose, Yuka Sakazaki, and Billie Starkz.
The upcoming ROH supershow will see Starkz face her former “overlord” once again with the title on the line, a match Athena told Denise Salcedo would headline Final Battle:
I think we are going to be, me and minion 4,237 and 3 quarters or whatever she wants to be referred to now, I don’t really care, but we will be the first women to main event in Hammerstein as far as I know, as far as Ring Of Honor goes anyway. That could be a really cool moment, another history on the belt there.
