After Mercedes Mone’ successfully defended the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship against Hazuki at NJPW’s Strong Style Evolved on Sunday, Mina Shirakawa came out to challenge Mone’ for the Strong Women’s Title at the Wrestle Dynasty pay-per-view that takes place on Sunday, January 5 at Tokyo Dome.
Mone’ said she would agree to the match, only if Shirakawa agreed to put up the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Title as well. Shirakawa then agreed to the match as , as both women danced together, which closed out the show.
NJPW Strong Style took place at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, CA.
Shirakawa unsuccessfully challenged Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Championship on last Wednesday’s Dynamite Winter Is Coming special.
Should Mone’ retain the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship against Shirakawa at Wrestle Dynasty, she would hold that title, the AEW TBS Championship and the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship.
