According to a new report from Fightful Select, WWE has a new policy restricting comped tickets for members of their talent roster.
The report notes that several talent have indicated comped tickets are no longer available that instead, talent are given a pre-sale link for their friends and family to use to purchase tickets before the general pre-sale starts. One higher-up noted to Fightful Select this is a result of WWE being a hot ticket company and did confirm that WWE has used less of the “seat fillers” for its events that in years past.
Fightful Select further notes that talent must now send in a request for comped tickets and if their request is granted, they are informed, followed by a notification that is sent via an email to whomever the tickets are for. In addition, there are a number of talent in the company that has expressed frustration that comped tickets, in most cases are no longer available. It was added that there is confirmation at the time of the report, if this applies across the board, as several of the WWE roster said they have been affected by this recent policy change.
It was concluded in the report that one talent who has taken up issues with these new policy changes, told Fightful Select that there has been nothing released in writing or any updates that have been provided pertaining to the change and were told of this by talent relations. Another talent noted they were approved for comped tickets months prior, and then the week of the specific event, had been asked for a credit card to pay for the tickets.
