Dave Meltzer has reported that “negotiations are close” for the Ring of Honor brand to take on a television deal.
In a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer addressed rumors surrounding which network would add the program to their lineup:
TruTV has always been the station rumored because they are transitioning into being a sports channel in prime time and thus would need new content.
No other details were reported, such as a potential timeframe.
The current ROH program airs on the HonorClub subscription service, which includes quarterly special events such as Supercard of Honor and Final Battle.
The report comes after Tony Khan and AEW recently reached a new multi-year multimedia rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery bringing Dynamite and Collision to MAX for a live simulcast as part of the extension of the partnership between the companies.
