During an interview with The Takedown on Sports Illustrated, Adam Cole took time to respond to rumors and speculation surrounding his relationship with Britt Baker, stating:
We are no longer a couple. But when I say that we both still love each other and are still friends and still so supportive of each other, that could not be more true.
Speculation over the couple’s situation began during the summer, when Cole told his followers on a live stream that he was in the middle of moving back to his home state of Pennsylvania.
The discourse over their relationship became a talking point when Baker made her return to AEW at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in June, as well as the return of Cole at WrestleDream earlier this month.
Responding to comments made on social media, Cole stated:
I don’t want anyone to ever think that me and Britt dislike each other. I think it is possible, in situations, for people who are in relationships to kind of go their separate ways, but still care about one another. The last thing I would want is fans to pick sides or anything like that.
