The Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes best of seven match was supposed to have taken place on this week’s WWE SmackDown. However, both men got into a fight backstage and the match never happened.
During Friday night’s show, General Manager Nick Aldis announced that the match will take place next week with United States Champion LA Knight as the special referee. The series between Andrade and Hayes is tied 3-3.
Also set for next is the following:
-Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther will go face-to-face
-WWE Tag Team Championships No. 1 Contenders Match: Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley vs. DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa)
Next Friday’s WWE SmackDown will air live on the USA Network and emanate from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
