AEW reportedly interested in match that was a hoax on social media

An announced match for Wednesday’s Dynamite on social media that turned out to be a hoax, reportedly now has the attention of AEW matchmakers, per a report by F4WOnline.

It is being said by Dave Meltzer those within AEW are hoping they can actually pull off the match.

“Whoever put out that graphic spurred an idea in people’s heads and, in fact, they love the idea of that match. I don’t know if it’s going to happen anytime soon.”

Our own Alex Kahrs did some digging on Wednesday and found that X user who goes by the name of “Bean” is responsible for the graphic, which showed a title match announced for Dynamite with International Champion Konosuke Takeshita defending the title against CMLL star Mascara Dorada for Dynamite. The image looked real enough that it was reported by media outlets. Dorada has wrestled twice this year for AEW as part of tag team action.

Takeshita defeated Will Ospreay and Ricochet in a three-way match at last Saturday’s WrestleDream PPV to capture the International Championship.
