There is video that has been making the rounds on social media, showing a scene of Happy Gilmore 2 that was filmed, featuring AEW star MJF and Adam Sandler. It has been previously reported MJF will have a significant role in the film.
Christopher McDonald and Julie Bowen will all reprise their roles from the first film. New cast members for the sequel include Bad Bunny, Travis Kelce, Benny Safdie and Margaret Qualley.
Filming was said to have wrapped up and the end of last month. Previous reports note that MJF is expected to make his return to AEW programming sooner than later and that he has already signed on for another film role that will feature Justin Long and Ron Pearlman.
Happy Gilmore 2 is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2025.
MJF last competed at AEW All Out back on September 7, where he defeated Daniel Garcia. After the match, Garcia brutally assaulted MJF, taking him out as a way to write him of AEW programming while he was out as part of the filming for the movie.
