Former Women’s Champion and WWE reportedly agree to new long-term deal

As first reported by PWInsider and then F4WOnline, Rhea Ripley and WWE reportedly have come to terms on a five-year contract, with the deal just needing the applicable signatures to make it official.

The reports also notes that Ripley, who turns 29 on October 11, with the new contract comes with a “considerable raise.”

Ripley first signed with WWE in back in 2017 and made her debut as part of the Mae Young Classic tournament. She was then sent to the NXT UK brand, where she became the first-ever NXT UK Women’s Champion. In 2019, WWE brought Ripley back to Orlando as part of the main NXT brand.

WWE sent her up to the main roster during the very early part of 2021. She would go on to WrestleMania that year and capture what was at the time, the Raw Women’s Championship from Asuka.

Ripley is a former one-time Raw Women’s Champion and a former one-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion (with Nikki A.S.H.). After winning the SmackDown Women’s Title, she became the seventh WWE Women’s Triple Crown Champion and fifth WWE Women’s Grand Slam Champion. Ripley is also the only WWE female Superstar to have held all five titles. In addition, Ripley is the first female Australian champion in WWE history. Furthermore, Ripley is also the winner of the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble Match, having become the fourth WWE Superstar and the first woman to win a Royal Rumble match after entering at No. 1.
