According to several fans who were in attendance at Wednesday night’s live Dynamite and Rampage taping held at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, PA, ROH World Tag Team Champion Sammy Guevara was knocked out during a match against Serpentico.
The match was being taped for Ring of Honor television before AEW Dynamite went on the air.
Fans across social media have said that Serpentico came off the top rope, in which Guevara attempted to catch him with a cutter. However, it was further said that the timing was off as Serpentico landed on the mat with Guevara’s face under him, thus knocking Guevara out. At that point in the match referee Bryce Remsberg stopped it and declared Serpentico as the winner.
Fans also said that AEW’s medical staff hit the ring and immediately attended to Guevara. He was eventually carried out on a stretcher.
