Toni Storm wrestles her first match with Stardom since 2018

AEW’s Toni Storm wrestled her first match since 2018 with Stardom on Saturday.

Storm teamed up with Mina Shirakawa at Korakuen Hall on Saturday, with a win over IWGP Women’s Champion Mayu Iwatani and AZM. The finish of the match saw Storm pick up the win for her and Shirakawa after hitting the AM with the Storm Zero.

Storm will challenge Iwatani for the IWGP Women’s title at Stardom Nagoya Golden Fight on Saturday, October 5. The two had a staredown after today’s match.

After the victory, Storm and Shirakawa were interviewed backstage. During the segment, Storm acted like she had no recollection who AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May actually is.

“I think we are the best tag team, no no, the best friends. You are like family,” Storm said to Shirakawa. “We are good family, you and Mina and Mariah,” Shirakawa responded. “I’ve never heard that name in my life,” Storm responded before staring off into the distance for a period.

Shirakawa returned to AEW this past Wednesday at Dynamite Grand Slam in Queens, New York after AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May’s successful title defense against Yuka Sakazaki.
