On Wednesday, September 4, Rich Swann pleaded “nolo contendere plea” (no contest) to a disorderly public intoxication and causing a disturbance, stemming from his arrest this past June.
According to the Seminole County Clerks Office, Swann was sentenced to six months probation and is responsible for nearly $500 in fines and legal fees. Records show he already paid all fines as a result of the incident. The case is now marked as “closed.”
Swann entered a substance abuse rehabilitation program back on June 8 after he was arrested in Altamonte Springs, Florida where he was allegedly intoxicated and tried to forcefully enter an apartment which was not his residence.
According to a report filed by Zane Hoskins of the Altamonte Springs Police Department said that at around 9:50 pm, Swann attempted to enter his apartment forcefully. Swann reportedly was banging on the door, yelling “this is my house.” Hoskins then informed Swann he had a gun, which in turn caused Swann to leave the property.
The resident told Hoskins he did not want to press charges against Swann, who damaged his front door. Police also had received another call, this time from a woman located within in the same neighborhood. The report also stated that the woman said Swann attempted to follow her at the apartments, after she told him to stop. It was said the woman was able to get inside her apartment before Swann could enter. Authorities further noted that they had located Swann nearby and labeled him as “incoherent and appearing to be intoxicated.”
Back in September of 2022, Swann was charged with the same offense when he was arrested for allegedly causing a disturbance while intoxicated at the apartment complex where he lives. The court had ordered him to pay $351.49 related to that charge.
TNA Wrestling suspended Swann after they had learned of his arrest.
