Below is what took place after the 8/16 episode of WWE SmackDown went off the air, courtesy of PWInsider.
Roman took his time walking out, selling the assault by The Bloodline. As soon as Roman went backstage, Sami Zayn’s music hit and the place went crazy.
Dark match Results:
-Sami Zayn defeated Santos Escobar
-Jey Uso vs. Gunther ended in disqualification when Ludwig Kaiser interfered. Then out came Damian Priest to make the save. He then cut a promo challenging Gunther and Kaiser to a tag team match.
Damien Priest and Jey Uso defeated Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser. Priest pinned Kaiser after a spear from Uso and a South Of Heaven Chokeslam from Priest. Priest at one point hit an old school and tombstone piledriver on Kaiser.
After the match, Jey Uso cut a promo after saying it has been a tough day, but being in the center of the ring is what makes everyone in the family that the fans saw perform tonight. He then thanked the fans and thanked Damien Priest. He got Priest to do a couple Yeets to send the crowd home.
