Fightful Select has reported that LA Knight restructured and extended his WWE contract, remaining with the company “for the foreseeable future.”
The previous deal was set to expire in 2025, with the restructuring calling for a much longer term and a sizable financial increase.
The report notes that Knight, who won the United States Championship at SummerSlam, used an agent for the deal, with re-negotiations starting shortly after WrestleMania XL.
The new champion is already set for his first challenge following the 8/9 edition of SmackDown, which saw Santos Escobar defeat Andrade to become the number one contender.
Knight’s first appearance as champion even saw the debut of a new theme song, as noted by Corey Graves on commentary:
