Some new details on the second 60 day WWE suspension of Rey Mysterio (Oscar Gutierrez) according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Mysterio tested positive for amphetamines following a test taken on 2/13 when he visited a Monday Night Raw taping in San Diego. He was ordered to take a drug test as soon as he arrived even though he wasn’t wrestling on the show. Mysterio reportedly had a conversation with John Laurinaitis on 4/25 and was asked when he thought he could return. When Mysterio said he was targeting June, Laurinaitis informed him it would have to be more like July as he was suspended for two months. He was said to be surprised by the suspension and was told to submit all different medications he was taking. The initial belief is that Mysterio was taking a dietary supplement to lose weight that may have contained a small amount of amphetamines.
