Report: Update on CM Punk’s status with WWE

PWInsider has reported new details related to the contract status of CM Punk, who returned to WWE last November at Survivor Series.

In the midst of rumors surrounding his deal with the company, the report notes that the former WWE Champion signed a three-year deal the night he returned.

It has been confirmed that WWE reached out to Punk to discuss a new deal, but sources indicate the re-negotiation is centered around “merch and socials.”

Punk was recently cleared for an in-ring return after sustaining an injury at the Royal Rumble, facing Drew McIntyre with Seth Rollins as special guest referee at SummerSlam on Saturday, August 3 from Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.
