During Friday’s SmackDown, Rhodes agreed to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam.
Rhodes told Solo that if it was up to him, he would fight him on SmackDown and wait until SummerSlam. The Bloodline then attacked Rhodes. Randy Orton then came down to make the save. However, the numbers were just too much for Rhodes and Orton. The Bloodline tied up Rhodes in the ropes and put Orton through a table.
Also during Friday night’s SmackDown, LA Knight signed a contract to challenge Logan Paul for the WWE United States Championship at SummerSlam. The contract was also signed by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. However, Logan Paul was at Friday night’s show.
Knight pinned Paul in a triple threat match back on the June 28 episode of SmackDown to qualify for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
WWE SummerSlam will take place from Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday, August 3. The event will stream live on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else.
