It is Wednesday, my dudes…you know what that means.
We kick off with a recap of MJF’s attack on Daniel Garcia followed by his promo on Collision, with the former World Champion calling out the fans for “discarding” him for men like Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay. MJF promises to take away everything until he’s on top, and the fans can thank him later.
We go to ringside where Will Ospreay makes his way out to a big pop from the crowd, as the AEW International Champion steps into the ring to kick things off tonight.
Will thanks the crowd before addressing what happened last week on Dynamite, saying he was appalled but not surprised. He had heard rumors about MJF, that he was one of the most insecure men in all of pro wrestling. MJF proved these to be true with his attack on Daniel Garcia last week. Garcia is still at home now with no feeling in his arms and no idea when–or if–he is coming back to pro wrestling, and Max wants to blame the people.
Ospreay talks about MJF not having things go his way, including the “bidding war of 2024,” because Tony Khan would rather spend money on someone who will elevate AEW. He talks about having more talent in, well, a certain part of his body than Max does in his entire body, before saying MJF is jealous because Ospreay works hard for AEW whereas the former World Champion only cares about himself.
Ospreay claims that since joining AEW, he’s had to clean up after someone else’s mess…and he’s finally found who he has had to clean up after. He follows up saying the level of the devil is the ground floor…and he is top level!
Will says he’s not in England grieving, he’s in Calgary looking for a fight…so come on out if you want one, MJF! Max’s music hits, but MJF appears on the screen holding a glass of wine instead. MJF says no one deserves to be graced with his presence, before talking about the men he’s beaten in AEW. He calls Ospreay the flavor of the month whereas Max is the flavor of the millennium, claiming the fans will toss Will aside like they tried to do to him.
Max says he’s not irreplaceable unlike Ospreay, who will be replaced by the next flippy guy they call the best in the world. MJF asks if Will wants to fight him tonight…but says he doesn’t do it for free. He then lays out a challenge for next week, MJF versus Will Ospreay for the AEW International Championship…a challenge the champion accepts!

Back at ringside, Bryan Danielson makes his way out for our opening contest as Jeff Jarrett stands beside the trophy and belt for the winner of this tournament. Out next is Hangman Page, who stares Jarrett down before heading to the ring himself. We get ring introductions for Jarrett as the special enforcer and both participants before this match gets underway!
Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Finals: Bryan Danielson vs. Adam Page (Special Enforcer: Jeff Jarrett)
Page kicks things off by shoving Danielson toward the ropes, with the American Dragon getting back to his feet for a lockup…only to be sent back down to the canvas by Hangman once more. Bryan back to his feet for a lockup, sending Page to the corner before being forced to break…and Page charges at him for some hard stomps. Bryan once again back up, only to take a hard chop sending him toward the corner. Danielson escapes the corner, catching Hangman with a single leg crab before Page grabs the bottom rope!
Both men back to their feet as Page gets sent to the outside before Bryan takes him down with a dive to the floor. Page ends up back in the ring as Bryan climbs up top for a missile dropkick, sending Hangman to the corner…but a running boot gets cut off by Page, who takes him to the apron before slamming him into the turnbuckle! Bryan crashes to the floor as we go to picture-in-picture.
Picture-in-Picture: Page takes a short breather before following Bryan outside, sending him into the steel steps before slamming his head against the steps for added damage. Bryan is busted open, favoring his neck as Page brings him back to his feet and into the ring. The ref checks on Bryan as Hangman stares him down, with Danielson getting his feet only to be sent to the corner for some mounted punches by Page…who flips the crowd off as he backs away, with the ref checking on Bryan once more as we come back from break!
Page goes back to work with some stomps on the American Dragon as Jarrett looks on from ringside. Both men in the ring are standing again, trading strikes until Page locks in a sleeper before swinging Bryan around and dropping him to the mat. Danielson heads to the corner, where Hangman continues to lay in some chops to wear him down. He follows up with some punches to the head, but Bryan starts firing back with some chops as he escapes the corner. A series of uppercuts gets stopped by Page, but Danielson catches him with a cross arm breaker that he transitions into a LeBell Lock on Hangman…but Page gets his foot on the ropes to force a break!
Bryan lays in some kicks until Hangman catches him, lifting the American Dragon onto his shoulders before dropping him to the mat with a back suplex. Page heads to the turnbuckle but is quickly swept out by Danielson, who catches him with a spider German suplex to send Hangman crashing to the canvas. Danielson is up top now as he looks for a flying headbutt…but Page evades it, setting Bryan up for a crossface of his own!
Danielson gets his foot on the rope to force a break, with Hangman holding on as long as he can as we go to picture-in-picture once again.
Picture-in-Picture: Page sets up Danielson for a powerbomb, but the American Dragon starts fighting back with some strikes to get back into the match. Both men are on their feet once more, trading strikes until Page gets sent to the corner for a chop. Danielson sets Hangman up on the turnbuckle as we come back from break…
…and Bryan lands a series of elbows on Page, who fights back before pulling a turnbuckle cover off to slam Danielson’s head and send him to the mat. Page goes for a moonsault that Danielson counters out of…only for Hangman to connect with a tombstone piledriver for a nearfall. Bryan rolls out of the ring as Page climbs up top…only to be sent to the floor by Danielson, who follows up with a springboard senton!
Both men crash to the floor as Danielson starts favoring his neck, only to shove the medic away before laying in a series of kicks on Hangman…who catches the American Dragon with a piledriver onto the floor! The medic and Jarrett check on Bryan as Page rolls into the ring…only to slide out to go after Bryan once again. Jarrett tries to keep him away from Danielson, which causes Hangman to pieface Jarrett before going back into the ring!
Jarrett is frustrated but has a cool head about it as the ref counts, reaching about eight or nine when Bryan manages to get back into the ring…only to be cut off by a line of offense from Page. Hangman lays in some heavy strikes before pulling away at the protective tape on Bryan’s back…but the American Dragon evades him long enough for a Busaiku Knee!
Both men are down and Bryan is struggling to capitalize, still hurt from the earlier damage. Both men fight to their feet trading headbutts along the way, and Bryan hits a kick to get back into things…escaping a back suplex before charging for another Busaiku Knee–that hits the referee instead!
Page sees his opening as he takes his belt off, giving Danielson a whipping with it until Jarrett goes in the ring to intervene. Page argues with Jeff before shoving him to the mat. Jarrett gets to his feet, revealing a referee jersey underneath his shirt as Bryan rolls up Page for a nearfall. Danielson goes for a LeBell lock but Page counters out for a nearfall of his own…followed by a Buckshot Lariat! Page sets up for another Lariat, but Danielson catches him with a rollup for a nearfall…before Page transitions into another crossface!
Bryan tries to roll out, but Page catches him in the middle of the ring once again. Bryan is fading fast, and appears to be out as Jarrett checks his arm. Danielson keeps his arm up as he tries to counter out…eventually trapping Hangman’s shoulders to the mat for the pin and the win!

Page is beside himself as he confronts Jarrett about the finish, eventually leaving the ring as Martha Hart joins Jarrett in entering the ring to present the trophy and title belt to Danielson. The tournament win also means Danielson gets a shot at the AEW World Championship at All In in Wembley Stadium…which brings the champion himself out, as Swerve Strickland comes to the ramp to get a good look at a smiling, bloody Danielson.
-Commercial Break-
Back at ringside, Swerve Strickland is inside the ring to address what happened last week before congratulating Bryan Danielson on winning the Owen Hart Foundation tournament to earn his shot at All In. He then talks about Bryan being on a “downslide” while Swerve is still on top, before turning his attention to the EVPs trying to offer him Reeboks and a spot on their team for Blood & Guts.
Swerve then says he accepts a spot in the match…for Team AEW. He promises to make good on the second of two things Bryan Danielson could not do this year…after beating Will Ospreay, he will go on to beat The Elite. Swerve follows up with a challenge to Okada, where the World Champion will show him how to really make it rain…and wraps things up by saying he’ll see Bryan Danielson at All In, where it will truly be Bryan’s final countdown. Whose house? The crowd respond “Swerve’s House” as the champ drops the mic and exits the ring.

Back at ringside, Samoa Joe makes his way to the ring for our next match. Out next is FTW Chris Jericho alongside (now former) DPW National Champion Bryan Keith, the pair heading to the ring as this Stampede Street Fight gets underway!
Stampede Street Fight: Samoa Joe vs. Chris Jericho
Joe removes Jericho’s hat before laying into him, sending Jericho to the corner for some hard rights. He sends Jericho to the opposite corner for a running kick, followed by some more punches until Jericho fights back. Keith tries to get involved which leads to Joe going after him on the outside, sending him into the crowd before going back to the apron…where he gets intercepted by the Learning Tree!
Jericho grabs a chair for some added damage before sending Joe back into the ring, pulling out a satchel from under the ring before revealing horseshoes upon sliding back into the ring. Jericho goes for a back suplex but Joe fights back with some elbows and a knee. Jericho tries to catch him with a bulldog, but is caught before Joe slams him onto the pile of horseshoes! Jericho finally manages to get back into it with a low blow on Joe, before locking in the Walls of Jericho as we go to picture-in-picture.
Picture-in-Picture: Joe struggles as he gets to the ropes, looking for leverage if nothing else in this street fight situation…but Jericho pulls him away from the ropes, keeping Joe at bay. Joe looks like he might be close to tapping out…but manages to hold on as we come back!
And not a moment too soon, as Joe turns his body around before cracking Jericho in the head with a horseshoe to finally break the hold! Joe gets to his feet, sending Jericho to the corner but the Learning Tree counters out of a muscle buster before sending Joe to the outside. He waves to the crowd before running toward Joe, who evades the Learning Tree before sending him into the crowd for a walk and brawl up the stairs for a moment.
They make their way throughout the stands as Joe slams a bag of popcorn against Jericho, before the pair make their way backstage. They end up in a coffee area where the Learning Tree throws a cup of coffee at Joe…who responds with a Coquina Clutch on Jericho!
But here comes Big Bill with a steel chair, cracking it against the back of Joe! Bryan Keith gets in on the action now, the students beating Joe down as Jericho uses the belt he got from Martha Hart to get some revenge.
His students then set Joe up on a palette being supported by a forklift…which Jericho operates to send Joe into a nearby drywall! Officials and wrestlers alike rush to check on Joe, with the doctor declaring that Samoa Joe cannot continue as the bell gets rung to end the match.
Winner via ref stoppage: Chris Jericho
We’re left to wonder what Joe’s situation is as we go to commercial break.
-Commercial Break-
We get a replay of what Chris Jericho did to Samoa Joe backstage, before going to the parking lot where Samoa Joe is brought into an ambulance. As Joe is sent away, we pan over to a smiling Jericho waving goodbye before going back to ringside where our next match gets underway!
Global Glory 4-Way Match: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Kyle Fletcher vs. PAC vs. Tomohiro Ishii
Chaos ensues quickly before Ishii and Claudio go at it with forearm strikes, only for Fletcher to get involved…and dropped to the canvas for his troubles. He gets sent outside before Claudio and Tomohiro trade strikes again, with Castagnoli being taken down with a shoulder tackle before PAC gets involved with a missile dropkick!
Ishii leaves the ring as Fletcher and PAC go at it, before Claudio looks for a giant swing on PAC…before Fletcher intercepts! All four men go at it before Claudio catches Ishii with a gutwrench suplex. Ishii leaves the ring where he is met by Fletcher and PAC…and Claudio catches all three of them with a dive before we go to picture-in-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: Claudio appears to be in control as he lays into Ishii and then PAC, who turns things around on Castagnoli while Fletcher and Ishii go at it. Things come back into the ring with Ishii and Claudio in one corner and PAC and Fletcher on the other side, both pairs trading strikes among each other. PAC hits a superplex on Fletcher and Ishii hits one of his own on Claudio as we come back from break!
All four men are in the middle of the ring, slowly fighting their way back to their feet until Ishii lays in forearms on all three opponents…eventually taking PAC out in the corner, only for Claudio and Fletcher to follow suit!
PAC catches Fletcher with a poison rana, but is dropped with an uppercut by Claudio who gets taken down by Fletcher. Ishii goes after him but is taken to the mat with a tombstone piledriver by Fletcher for a close nearfall.
Ishii goes up top but is taken out by Claudio, who sends Fletcher on a giant swing before locking in the Sharpshooter to a big pop from the Calgary crowd! PAC goes up top, hitting an elbow on Fletcher before locking in the Brutalizer on Fletcher…and Ishii forces Claudio to break the Sharpshooter with some hard punches!
He lays out Castagnoli before hitting the ropes, nearly stumbling before laying PAC out with a lariat to break the hold on Fletcher…and then hitting a lariat ON Fletcher for a nearfall! Claudio stops him from hitting a brainbuster, connecting with a Neutralizer for a nearfall before PAC pulls him off. PAC goes for a cover but Claudio pulls him off, and the staredown between them is interrupted by Ishii…who takes a German from PAC!
Fletcher cradles him for a nearfall before PAC heads to the corner, laying in a boot on Fletcher before going up top for a Black Arrow! Brutalizer on Fletcher forces him to tap out just before Claudio can break it up!
Winner via pinfall: PAC
The win earns PAC a future shot at the AEW International Championship as Claudio shakes his head at what happened. PAC gets a microphone, addressing the promises he’s made since returning to AEW in March. He’s made some humiliating failures, but this is All In season and he will not be denied his Wembley moment. Let tonight stand as a line in the sand, because PAC…will be back.
Backstage, Renee gets pushed aside by Hangman which leads her to try and get a word…until Page bangs on the door of the EVPs, saying he will “do it.”
Back at ringside, Mercedes Mone’ heads to the ring to celebrate becoming a double champion at Double Or Nothing. Mercedes wants to address the past, present, and future…because she IS the past, present, and future. She says she is the best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be, much to the chagrin of the Calgary crowd.
Mercedes wants to raise a toast to the C-E-O…but Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. makes her way out to interrupt her! Mone’ wants nothing to do with the former Women’s World Champion, escaping to the crowd as Baker enters the ring to stare the TBS and NJPW Strong Women’s Champion down. The crowd chants “DMD” as a sign of thanks for interrupting the segment, as a graphic reminds us of our main event up next!
-Commercial Break-
Backstage, Darby Allin has put a beating on Brandon Cutler before calling out Jack Perry for next week before we head back to ringside.
Mariah May is accompanied by Toni Storm ash she heads to the ring for our main event, looking to beat the defending Owen Hart Cup winner as Willow Nightingale makes her way out to the ring next. Both women honoring Owen with their gear as we get ring introductions for each competitor before this match gets underway!
Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Finals: Willow Nightingale vs. Mariah May
Mariah catches Nightingale with a wristlock but Willow counters out, only for May to get a waistlock that the former TBS Champion escapes. The two trade holds once again, with May trapped in a full nelson before Willow goes for the gutwrench powerbomb…only for Mariah to grap a rope and force a break!
May gets sent to the corner for a chop by Nightingale, who follows up by dropping Mariah to the mat…but May fights back up for a dropkick. Willow sent to the corner as May goes for a headscissors, sending Willow to the ropes…where Mariah wraps her up for some hard strikes and a nearfall back in the ring.
Both women back to their feet as Willow catches May with a spinning side slam for a nearfall, followed by a cross body for the same result. Willow takes control by sending Mariah to the outside, following with a senton as we go to picture-in-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: Willow brings Mariah back in the ring for a scoop slam, but only gets a nearfall before May starts fighting back with strikes…only to be slammed by Nightingale for another nearfall. Willow gets caught with a guillotine on the way back up, but sends May into the turnbuckle to break the hold before locking in a hold with some boots for added damage. Mariah makes it to the ropes to force a break, but is sent to the corner as Willow sets her up on the turnbuckle before we come back!
May drops Willow to the mat to get an opening, but only picks up a nearfall as Toni cheers her on from ringside. Willow fights back with a kick before charging at Mariah in the corner, sending her to the ropes for a spinebuster that gets a close nearfall.
Willow pops the Calgary crowd as she sets up a Sharpshooter, but Mariah manages to escape before catching her with a suplex. Willow gets to the corner where Mariah hits an uppercut, but Mariah is sent to the corner…only to turn it around with some right hands! Boot to the face lets Willow go up the turnbuckle, but May takes her down with a hurricanrana for a nearfall!
Mariah stares Willow down as she goes for a running knee strike, but Willow catches her with a fisherman’s bomb for the pin–but May kicks out! Mariah sent to the ropes, but stops a pounce with a big headbutt that forces both women to the mat!
Someone in a hoodie goes after Willow as she tries to get up, and Storm distracts the ref long enough for Kris Statlander to hit Nightingale with a big boot! We realize the hooded figure is Stokely Hathaway as they escape up the ramp, and May goes for the cover…only for Willow to kick out!
May catches Willow once again but only gets a nearfall before Willow drops her with a lariat…but Mariah once again manages to kick out to stay in the match! Willow’s back on her feet as May is in the corner, allowing Nightingale to hit a cannonball…but May counters out of a Death Valley Driver, keeping Willow down for the pin and the win!
Winner via pinfall and the 2024 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament winner: Mariah May
Mariah and Willow shake hands out of respect, with Nightingale leaving the ring as May celebrates with Storm before they head up the ramp toward the trophy and championship belt…which May uses to attack Toni Storm!
She whips the belt against the Women’s World Champion, turning her attention to Luther to send the butler flying through a table off the stage. She goes back to work on Storm, attacking the champion with her own shoe and leaving the champ bloodied as a graphic on the screen reminds us that the two will collide at All In next month for the AEW Women’s World Championship before Dynamite comes to a close with the 2024 Women’s Owen Hart Cup winner standing tall over her former “mentor” in the Timeless One.
