WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has announced that Bad Blood is returning.
Bad Blood is set to take place on Saturday, October 5, from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The premium live event will stream on Peacock in the US and on the WWE Network everywhere else, with a start time of 7:00 pm ET.
Tickets for WWE Bad Blood go on-sale Friday, July 19 via Ticketmaster.
Bad Blood, originally stylized as Badd Blood, was the 18th In Your House pay-per-view, which took place October 5, 1997, at the then Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis, Missouri.
The pay-per-view was most notable for the first-ever Hell in a Cell match, with WWE Hall of Famers The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, battling it out in the steel cage.
The PPV also saw the debut of Kane as The Undertaker’s storyline brother Kane. He interfered in the match by delivering a tombstone piledriver on The Undertaker, thus allowing Michaels to win the match and become the new number one contender for the WWF Title that was held by WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart.
In March 2017, WWE had announced they would be bringing back Bad Blood, which was scheduled to take place on July 9, 2017 from the XL Center in Hartford, CT. However, the event was replaced with the pay-per-view Great Balls of Fire instead.
In 2003, WWE brought back the pay-per-view, slightly renaming it as Bad Blood, dropping second d from Bad. The event replaced the King of the Ring pay-per-view. WWE would go on to hold one more Bad Blood show in 2004, before discontinuing the event altogether.
