What happened after WWE SmackDown went off the air

Below, per PWInsider, is what took place after the 6/28 WWE SmackDown went off the air Friday night, live on FOX from Madison Square Gardern.

-Awesome Truth defeated Pretty Deadly

-Jey Uso defeated Judgment Day’s Finn Balor in a Street Fight after Balor was put through a table.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes came out at the entrance area and announced that a member of the WWE family was leaving. He then brought out Kayla Braxton. Cody praised her work and wished her well on the next chapter in her life. Braxton then told the crowd that eight years ago when she came to WWE, she really did not know much and then thanked everybody for everything she learned, for supporting her and for making her part of the family. She closed by saying she hopes everyone will follow her on her next chapter in life.

After Braxton left, Cody then came to the ring and said this was not how he planned his night at SmackDown in the Garden, referring to the brawl that took place earlier on the actual broadcast. Cody said it was also an important night because this is where the story began and told the story of his father (the late Dusty Rhodes), winning the WWWF title from Superstar Billy Graham, going to the corner to raise the belt, only to have it taken away. Cody told the fans when he began the story, he promised he was going to raise the belt he won, which is what the title he holds evolved into, in the same corner. He said, instead that he wanted to do something different. The actual WWWF Championship Dusty held for that quick moment was taken and then Cody went to the corner and raised it.

Afterwards, Cody spent about 30 to 45 minutes going around ringside taking photos with fans.
