Following an update that noted she was rehabbing her shoulder injury earlier this month, Fightful Select has reported that there is an internal hope for Rhea Ripley to return to WWE in time for SummerSlam in Cleveland.
According to the report, WWE sources indicated that the company has things “constructed” in a manner where the former Women’s World Champion can be slotted in a wrestling or non-wrestling capacity whenever she is ready.
Internal discussions have been made about Ripley’s involvement in the title picture upon her return, following the vacating of the title on the 4/15 edition of RAW.
One source has even stated that the story available at the time will determine what programs Ripley is involved in, there is no word on whether there are any active plans for her as of this writing.
