When 78,000 people showed up in Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida (WrestleMania XVII) that was credibility in professional wrestling. From start to finish, WM-XVIII was the best show I have ever seen in wrestling. Our thanks to the World Wrestling Entertainment Universe.
The credibility of a Champion or Championship belt lies in the credibility and performance of the people who have held the belt. In the case of the NWA World Championship I followed Champions, Gene Kiniski, Lou Thesz, Pat O’Connor and Dick Hutton all of whom I watched face my father, Dory Funk Sr. in World Title Matches.
Wes Brisco recently won the Florida Heavyweight Championship on !BANG! TV former wrestlers who have held the Championship Belt include His father, Jerry Brisco, Uncle Jack Brisco, The American Dream Dusty Rhodes, My brother Terry Funk and Myself.
