Today’s DREAM STAR FIGHTING Marigold event in Tokyo, Japan saw an appearance from Iyo Sky following a match between Utami Hayashishita and Nanae Takahashi.
Appearing via a pre-recorded video, the former WWE Women’s Champion revealed that she will be facing Hayashishita at Summer Destiny, pitting two former World of STARDOM Champions against each other in the newest promotion from STARDOM founder Rossy Ogawa.
The match is perhaps most notable because Utami has stated in the past that she became a wrestler because of Iyo (formerly Io Shirai), who signed with WWE just as Utami broke into the business.
The match was later confirmed by Marigold on social media.
Summer Destiny 2024 takes place July 13 from Ryogoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo, with a match between Giulia and Sareee also announced for the show.
