According to sources within WWE, TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace made a great impression and represented TNA Wrestling very well during her appearances on NXT TV. It was also said TNA officials made the entire process for Grace extremly simple. Fightful also notes WWE does seem open to the possibility of more future appearances from TNA talent on NXT programming.

Grace is set to challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at Sunday’s Battleground premium live event, which takes place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, NV.

Several female talents within WWE reportedly have expressed a desire to appear on TNA programming. One talent pointed out how this would help give the women’s roster more opportunities to get involved in rivalries, in addition to creating and get people talking.

One higher-up within NXT told Fightful Select that Steve Maclin would be a perfect fit, due to his familiarity of the process in NXT and the WWE Performance Center. In WWE, Maclin, under the in-ring name of Steve Cutler was part of the Forgotten Sons with Jaxson Ryker.

Furthermore, there is significant interest in TNA Wrestling talent, such as Josh Alexander and Leon Slater working with the NXT roster. NXT talent have reportedly spoken highly of both men.

WWE had brought Mickie James in for the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble, when she was then the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion. Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee (formerly known as Peyton Royce and Billie Kay in WWE), when they were under IMPACT Wrestling contracts were reportedly also contacted in 2022 to appear, but decided against it.
