The Miami Herald is featuring an interview with WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat talking about his brain aneurism almost two years ago and his work in WWE’s FCW developmental territory including which talent he feels are ready for a look.
On his brain aneurism from nearly two years ago:
I’m very happy with as far as I have come. Having a brain type aneurism, a brain bleed, really put things in perspective of what a good life and being a good person is really all about. I’ve always been a believer in God, but it sort of renewed and restored the faith that I have in him. So with that being said, physically I’m about 80 percent of what I was. The doctors have said that they don’t want me in the ring bouncing around or getting picked up and slammed down. They said the old head just can’t survive anymore trauma.
On who he thinks is ready for a look in FCW:
I believe Seth Rollins and Bo Rotundo are ready for a look-see. I think Husky [Harris], who is Bo’s brother is ready for a look. A guy who has been with us for about six months in Antonio Cesaro is ready for a look. Not knowing his background, I find he has been doing this for a while. He is ready. I think my son is ready for a look. Every quarter collectively, all the trainers give a report on all the talent that is sent up to WWE for them to look at.
