TKO Group Holdings released a statement calling WrestleMania the most successful event in WWE history, touting highlights in the gate, viewership, and more.
According to the statement, the event broke last year’s record for the gate with 145,928 in attendance between both nights.
Viewership for WrestleMania 40 was up 41 percent across both nights, compared to the record-setting audience of the previous year.
The company also drew over a 20 percent increase in merchandise sales compared to last year, thanks in part to the partnership with Fanatics spawning WWE World in the week leading up to the show.
The statement also notes the company’s first-ever ring mat sponsorship with PRIME Hydration, over 660 million views related to the show on social media, and the attendance and gate records of SmackDown, RAW, and NXT Stand & Deliver.
