Tony Khan assures ‘real footage’ from AEW All In will air on Dynamite

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Tony Khan confirmed that AEW will be airing actual footage from All In on this Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite.

“AEW has a great track record on delivering what we advertise, and it is real footage. The Young Bucks will show backstage footage from All In, the most important event in AEW history–the world record-holder for the most tickets ever sold for any wrestling record, over 81,035 total–and it was an important night backstage, as well.”

The event, which took place last August from Wembley Stadium in London, was the site of a backstage incident between CM Punk and Jack Perry.

Punk was subsequently terminated with cause from the company, and Perry was indefinitely suspended, though he has shown up at recent New Japan events and aligned himself with the House of Torture faction.

Neither the AEW President nor the EVPs have disclosed what the footage being aired this Wednesday on Dynamite will actually entail, but Khan has stated the reasoning behind the decision to air it:

“The decision is based on putting on the best show for AEW, as well as driving interest for Dynamite and our Dynasty pay-per-view on April 21. This is real-life footage that affected many people, and it will air for the first time on TBS during Dynamite.”

The Young Bucks are set to face FTR, known friends of Punk, for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Dynasty on Sunday, April 21.
