Sendai Girls hit CHIKARA in May!
The long-awaited U.S. debut of joshi superstar Meiko Satomura is upon us!
About ten years ago, a little wrestling organization arrived on the scene to challenge preconceived notions and test the boundaries of our sport. Since then, CHIKARA has shattered gender boundaries, done away with weight classes and made wrestling fun again! All in a decade’s work. No sweat. We even managed to forge relationships with many of the finest wrestling groups around the globe – like Sendai Girls of Japan! Back in December, at our megolithic and overbudgeted JoshiMania event, we had intended to deliver the most in-demand joshi star of the modern age: Meiko Satomura. However, a broken foot wreaked havoc on our plans.
Well, now Satomura is fully-healed, and it is time for her to show fans in the United States exactly why she is so very popular in her homeland. In conjunction with our 10th anniversary events (we’re callin’ it “Aniversario”) we are proud to present the ace of Sendai Girls – Meiko Satomura, as well as three of her finest proteges: DASH Chisako, Kagetsu and Sendai Sachiko!
Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the top stars from Sendai Girls in Japan as they make their United States debut at CHIKARA’s May events in Easton, PA and Manhattan, NY – tickets are available at our official website right now!
