TMZ Sports reported that Darby Allin suffered an injury during his match against Jay White on the 3/13 edition of AEW Dynamite, a story that Darby has confirmed on social media.
The report notes that the injury occurred after a front flip to the outside, landing awkwardly on his foot causing it to break.
The match continued for about ten more minutes before the finish saw White pin Darby after a Blade Runner.
Jay and Bullet Club Gold would go on the attack after the match, seemingly “breaking” Darby’s ankle with a steel chair in the midst of a brawl with The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn.
A timetable for Darby’s recovery is unclear as of this writing.
