AJPW star Yutaka Yoshie has passed away

Wrestleview is sad to have learned that All Japan Pro Wrestling star Yutaka Yoshie has passed away.  He was 50-years old. He was expected to celebrate 30-years in the wrestling business later this year.

At the time of this writing, a cause of death has not been revealed.

According to various reports, including F4WOnline, Yoshie took part in the AJPW show on Sunday in Takasaki. After he returned backstage after his match, Yoshie’s condition was said to have “suddenly deteriorated.” He was then rushed to a local hospital in Tasaki City.

Yoshie’s family later notified AJPW that he had passed away. 

According to Yahoo Japan, fans in attendance have said there nothing that was noticed during his match where it would have appeared that Yoshie may have suffered an injury.

AJPW has announced on X that the airing of its TV show on March 11 has been postponed.

Yoshie made his pro wrestling debut in New Japan Pro Wrestling back in 1994.

According to F4WOnline, he held the IWGP Tag Team Titles along with Hiroshi Tanahashi. He also held the Zero1 Tag Team Titles with Steve Corino and Shogun Okamoto.
