Former WWE star and ex-congressional candidate Dan Rodmier turns himself in

According to NewsNow.com (KLAS TV) in Las Vegas, NV – former WWE star Dan Rodimer turned himself in at the Clark County Detention Center around 6:00 pm local time on Wednesday.

PWInsider is reporting that court records indicate Rodimer was released on a $200,000 bond at 7:43 pm local time. He has a scheduled court date of April 10.

Rodimer was wanted for murder in connection with a homicide on the Las Vegas Strip last year.

Earlier on Wednesday, Metro police issued an arrest warrant for Rodimer for one charge of open murder. In 2020, Rodimer, lost his bid to represent Congress against Democratic Rep. Susie Lee. He then later left Nevada and lost a bid to represent a Texas congressional district.

NewsNow notes Rodimer was wanted in the death of Christoper Tapp, 47, of Idaho. Tapp died after an incident inside Resorts World on back October 29, 2023. Tapp served two decades in prison for a homicide he did not commit.

The report also notes the Clark County Coroner’s Office ruled Tapp’s death a homicide as a result of blunt force trauma to his head. A scan done had showed he suffered several brain bleeds.

Rodimer was briefly in WWE development, competing in Deep South Wrestling, OVW, and FCW as Dan Rodman, between 2006 and 2007.
