The 2/28 edition of Dynamite saw Sting descend from the rafters to fend off the Young Bucks, a spot that called back to his run in WCW.
Fightful Select has since reported that the spot was discussed between AEW President and Martha Hart, due to concerns stemming from a similar spot leading to the tragic death of Martha’s husband Owen in 1999.
The report states that Khan conferred with Hart to make sure the spot was not insensitive, with the founder of the Owen Hart Foundation giving her blessing for the spot to take place.
Sting and Darby Allin defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against the Young Bucks in what will be the Icon’s final match at Revolution, which takes place Sunday, March 3 from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.
