Wardlow has a message for the AEW locker room.
Wardlow will compete at Revolution in a Meat Madness Match against an opponent to be determined. He cut a scathing promo on Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite, giving a much needed boost to his character.
Below is the recap of Wardlow’s promo, taken from Alex Kahrs’ full recap of AEW Dynamite.
Back at ringside, Tony Schiavone welcomes Wardlow to the ring…and he tells Schiavone to get out of his ring before he knocks him down again. Wardlow is mad because two years ago, he had thousands upon thousands cheering for him…but now, the rocket that was strapped to his back has now kept him down time and time again.
He addresses the fact he’s not had so much as a chance to hold the World Championship, noting that he’s beaten men who have held the title with one man (a man who called himself “the real champion”) still falling apart because of what he did to him. He moves onto MJF, who was laid out and left to recover from his wounds…and the current champion, Samoa Joe, is a man Wardlow choked out and beat in the past.
He feels he is the best in the world, he is better than you and you know it, and he is the most dangerous man in the room…which makes him a uncrowned king. Wardlow is hungry and is tired of scraps, before stating this is no longer wrestling…this is war!
Also at Revolution, Daniel Garcia will challenge Christian Cage for the TNT Championship. It was announced that Adam Copeland is not cleared to compete, after taking a con-chair-to by Cage on the February 14 episode of Dynamite.
Garcia and Christian Cage had an exchange of words, with Cage bringing up Garcia’s dead father. The rest of the Patriarchy attempted to go after Garcia, but they were held off by Daddy Magic who had a chair, coming to the aid of Garcia.
AEW Revolution will take place on Sunday, March 3 from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Revolution will be available on BR Live and traditional pay-per-view in the United States and internationally on TrillerTV. The event will begin live at 8:00 pm ET, with the free Buy-In set for a 7:00pm start time.
