Drew McIntyre was interviewed by The West Sport in Australia ahead of WWE’s upcoming Elimination Chamber PLE in Perth.
The former WWE Champion spoke on a number of topics including his worst career bump, being champion during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, and his recent promo against CM Punk and the fan reactions that spurred a new t-shirt.
One topic McIntyre played relatively coy on, however, was his contract status with WWE; when asked if he was signed with the company beyond WrestleMania, McIntyre stated:
“Oh no, I can’t talk [about that]. I’ll let the Internet talk about it, though, so, I’ll just keep watching and watching every week. It’s interesting, I’m not the only one without a contract in WWE, it’s just interesting that it’s mine that seems to be on there every single week for a year straight.”
WWE Elimination Chamber takes place Saturday, February 24, emanating from Optus Stadium in Perth, West Australia, starting at 5 AM Eastern on Peacock in the United States and the WWE Network internationally.
